In my opinion the ribbons look really good. Again... this wall makes visible that you know a lot about Photoshop. You used a real photo for the background, something I consider to be really difficult to look well in combination with Anime/Manga style. I am not too sure about it here either... and again I think the characters maybe should have been vectored simply because they are again not as sharp as the ribbons or the photos which makes it visible that they were put together... so it doesn't look as if it's simply "one" that has to belong together.
However I like this wallpaper... :) So I hope you don't mind me being so critical. The concept is really good... and again.. different from what you usually see here!
