ah well after some busy weeks i created this wallpaper work. please take some minutes to taking effect of the scenery and the emotions in it ..
i decided to take one part of a tori amos lyric for the wallpaper work because i was searching for some text which sounds very sadly and descriptive relating the scenery.
if you like the wallpaper art dont be too stingy with giving me 'favorite' for this ... comments/feedback are welcome :)

I find this piece very astounding, the feeling it gives is some kind of sadness of unfulfilled happiness or recognition, hence "nothing I do is good enough for you" greatly describes the greatness of the wallpaper itself, with the right scan, the right sort of emotions invested into it.
The light can be softer, and perhaps, in my opinion due to the style of this wallpaper, it is actually good to make the scan lesser visible so it looks like it is fading into the background. I like it that way as it is now.
For others, I find the way you made the wall is rather simple, the grass itself although not as original, is actually great, everything has its place and though this one does not really touch the best of your skills, I would say it is still a great wallpaper nonetheless, Cheers.Yes...I copy pasta this from AP lol.

Wow Asahi, it's been a little while. Very nice wall indeed. I like the soft cool color scheme as it give a nice serene feel. That feeling contrasts well with the tormented look on her face. Very nice contrast. I have no problems with the grass. It looks a little too uniform but thats a minor detail. The simplicity of the background works well with the character image. It's really nice to be able to focus on the character and see the details in her. The mass of clouds that swarm together on the right side of the wall allows it not to be so symetrical but also not lopsided. The little space of sky where the type is, is a nice break from the clouds and a good space tp add an extra element, like type, which you did. ^_^
The type could use a little work though. It's a bit plain like it was just typed out. Maybe vary some word sizes and transparency to help create a little more depth. The other thing that can be slightly improved is the sunshine. Instead of straight edges down (in a rectangular shape) you might want to try a triangular shape kind of spreading outward. Then blur it a bit more. If you have different rays on different layers, you can get a really nice feel of depth. Just a few suggestions. Love the work as always. ;)

A really lovely job Asahi-sama. :) The scan works really well with the scenery. Love the way you added the sun shine coming towards the character. The scan was also exacted well too but the quality of the scan isn't as great as the scenery you created for it. Though you are very clever for choosing a medium and light tone of colors for most of the scenery. It helps hide the quality of the scan a little. ;) Only when it comes to the darker parts of the scan then you see a little texture that doesn't match the rest of the wallpaper.
I love the small green/gray glows near the ground. The concept of the wallpaper is brilliant. I just love the sad but sentimentalness of your latest wallpaper. :)

I really like emotive wallpaper. The lyrics you chose are great for it.
We're used to see this kind of Photoshop grass, but it is well place and done.
And the colors fit just really well together the grass, the scan and the sky.
And I also like the luminosity of the scene.
I'm not sure about the very define ray of light, but it's kinda look original.
Overall I think it looks great, nice job ;) -

the wallpaper really looks damn good at thumbnail. but unfortunately the full view's not. softer light, better grass, and cleaner scan will make this wall rocks. :D

First off, thanks for sharing your work. I think the tear on her face should be given a little more contrast to make it more apparent. I really like the desaturated look, especially the grass.
I think you did a really good job matching the light source with the shadows on her body. Not perfect, but very very good. The last comment I would like to make is in regards to the stars. Personally, I think there are two many stars visible in the sky on the left considering what time of day the rest of the scan indicates.
