Hello everyone! *candy hugs*

~The final days of winter leave their mark with frosty air and falling snow. Yet through the flurries and coldness, one can still remain warm. Though February is the month when Winter says goodbye to us, it is also the month when Love warms us~

In continuation with my monthly themes, I realize that many of you don't experience similar weather or even similar time of season that is portrayed in my walls. I must say that the monthly themes cover weather patterns for northeastern USA and a bit midwestern USA and parts of Europe. I apologize for this, but I am sure that many of you still enjoy and have fun with the walls :)

~About the Wall~
I admit this wall was the hardest wall that I have done thus far. I am still not happy with how it turned out  Has taken a week to do and about over 140 layers. Yes, my laptop is running really slow. Yes, I do all of my walls on my laptop ^_^'

Hardest Parts
----The rocks. They came from another scan here at MT and each rock was individually placed and altered and modified to give depth perception.
----The river. Making it look like it is meandering into the distance and actually being frozen. That is ice that you see :) Everything around it had to get a reflection onto the ice though it is hard to see some of the reflections because of the snow drifts that are piled on the ice.
----Snow. Having snow on everything >_< Snow on rocks, snow fluffed up on sides of rocks, snow on ice, snow on trees, snow on scan, snow here, snow there to even the cute, little snow clumps at the heels of the footprints.

Hard Parts
----The bridge. Though the original bridge was a stock photo, adding the snow onto it was annoying.
----Shadows. More annoying :D

Fun Parts
----Those cute caribou. Coloring them and placing them ^^
----The sky.

**NOTE**
----Of course, much gratitude to Mizu-megami for her gracious thoughts and opinions
----Thanks to Tantaga for the idea of being focused on details and that cute detail of adding footprints in the snow
----And much thanks and appreciation for all your comments, suggestions, and enjoying my wall

So as I always say--Please enjoy my wall ^_^

    Oopss...I just realized that I had faved it few days ago, but without leaving a comment first ^^;;
I generally like Chiho Saito mangas and have quite a handful of her mangas at home :)
Though I don't know this character, the work of edit, drawing and construction is simply amazing !
When I read in your comment that you were the one who made everything, even the footprints and snow which looks so..real! I just couldn't believe it! And the sky is a real beauty to be hold :)

    Woah!
    AMAZING work!
This is one of the few wallpapers where it is not the scan that is picking the main attention but the environment! (at least so it seems to me... ^_^')
You have put so much effort in this wallpaper (placing all those stones individually and in addition to that having everything covered in snow... if I would put half the effort you put into this wall I would be the greatest pupil ever!) and the result is one of the best wallpapers I've ever seen so far!
(I can't believe you are not satisfied with your work!)

The two things I love the most about this wallpaper are the lake and the sky!
(great job on the sky! I love it! :D )
Really excellent work! Thanks for sharing!

Lovely, this is just lovely. Love the beautiful scene you made. The scan is really pretty and you did a fantastic job with the snow, I love the bridge ^^ and the reindeers. And the colors of the sky are warm and pretty, everything is so cute. You did an awesome job ^^

Ahh yes, time for my usual late commentary ^_^; You've assured me that you don't mind it being late, though, so I guess it's okay....even if it is this late.

First, I wanted to say that I don't recognize the scan, but it was a nice one to choose for this wall, anyway. I don't know if you were the one to place the snow on the characters, but it helps them blend in to the background and overall fit better into the wall. And the guy has pretty hair, too! XD

One thing I love about your walls are the colors that you use in your skies. They're never just one color, and I like that a lot. I also like the way you do the clouds (this comes from someone who can't use photoshop other than to fix actual pictures). They aren't the fluffy kind that a lot of people use...instead it's more of a misty kind, definitely more realistic looking (though both do exist).

And the background elements are always so detailed...the caribou were a great touch! ^_^ I also liked the tiny patches of random grass sticking up from beneath the snow, the stil-falling snowflakes spread throughout the wall, and snow on the trees...and the bridge/stream on the right side were also good ideas. One thing about the stuff that you do is that you don't leave any part of the wall blank so it looks empty, but neither are they too "busy". You have a good sense of balance in that area.

Good job, as usual miss Emma ^_^

wowie...i'm absolutely amazed how you were able to flawlessly blend in different scans into your backdrop...they flow so smoothly together. this has such a romantic feel...and even though they're sitting in the snow...there is definitely a feeling of warmth or heat emanating from those two! i also think you did a wonderful job with the fluffy snow accents on the stones and lake. :)
