Hello everyone! *candy hugs*
~The final days of winter leave their mark with frosty air and falling snow. Yet through the flurries and coldness, one can still remain warm. Though February is the month when Winter says goodbye to us, it is also the month when Love warms us~
In continuation with my monthly themes, I realize that many of you don't experience similar weather or even similar
time of season that is portrayed in my walls. I must say that the monthly themes cover weather patterns for northeastern
USA and a bit midwestern USA and parts of Europe. I apologize for this, but I am sure that many of you still enjoy and
have fun with the walls :)
~About the Wall~
I admit this wall was the hardest wall that I have done thus far. I am still not happy with how it turned out :sweat:
Has taken a week to do and about over 140 layers. Yes, my laptop is running really slow. Yes, I do all of my walls on my
laptop ^_^'
Hardest Parts
----The rocks. They came from another scan here at MT and each rock was individually placed and altered and modified to
give depth perception.
----The river. Making it look like it is meandering into the distance and actually being frozen. That is ice that you
see :) Everything around it had to get a reflection onto the ice though it is hard to see some of the reflections
because of the snow drifts that are piled on the ice.
----Snow. Having snow on everything >_< Snow on rocks, snow fluffed up on sides of rocks, snow on ice, snow on
trees, snow on scan, snow here, snow there to even the cute, little snow clumps at the heels of the footprints.
Hard Parts
----The bridge. Though the original bridge was a stock photo, adding the snow onto it was annoying.
----Shadows. More annoying :D
Fun Parts
----Those cute caribou. Coloring them and placing them ^^
----The sky.

it turned out great^-^
through it still looks like there is a huge fire in the forest because of the clouds and the colours of the sky in that part. and now i know why those little tree's look so flat.. there is almost no snow on those tree's, while the other tree's does have much snow...
O_O;; those where footprints.... i thought those where some tiles from a path covered with snow^_^;;
but awy from those i really like your wall^_^ *adds to favs* ^_~

Awesome, Emma-chan! *ovation* Saito is one of my favorite mangakas, but you've really done justice to the lovely artwork. It shows that you took a lot of time and detail in producing this wonderful walpaper. Thanks for sharing you art with us! God, this really made my day! +fav for sure!

Whaa! xD the background looks so great! The snow looks so good and the scan's nice too, of course. This definitely got my fave. ;) I could tell you worked really hard on it! And it turned out for the best! :D

And the bridge looks so real, and the snow on the rocks is so natural, and the deers are so cute...

The trees are even better than the ones in january snow, you're getting better (^.~) They look so... fluffly! :)
Did you know that when I first overlooked the tumbhnail I thought the scan featured a girl and... a big blue dog :sweat:

Gosh, so wonderful! The whole wallpaper is beautiful, and everything fits in nicely. I especially love the sunset; it's so perfect! However, I do have a few small complaints. The biggest one is the snow cover, mostly on the characters and the caribou/moose (yes, that is the plural form of moose). Both of them would have to have been sitting/standing in those exact positions for long amounts of time to have that much snow cover in those places. Yeah, and, erm, that's all I have to complain about. Everything else is pretty much, well, great. Most of your "hardest parts" turned out very nicely, specifically the rocks.
Man, I wish I had as much skill as you did.
Keep up the great work, and I really cannot wait to see your next! -

wow emma-chan i can tell a lot of work was put into this wallpaper. the details of the scenery are really well done and the scene of the chara's are really romantic. and the background defintly portrays that well. everything looks fine except that the trees on the right side look lighter then the ones on the left. but other then that great job ^^ -

All I can say is Wow! This is beautiful! I love it! I love the color of the sky, the stream, everything! I just love it! The scene was put together so well, you did everything, even the footprints in the snow I see! Oh and the two elk (or are they deer, nothing wrong with the image, just I can't remember which is which) in the background watching make the scene so natural and wonderful! Excellent job! Keep up the great work!

it's not great... nor beautiful not even gorgeous XP it's spectacular :) damn it's so romantic and passionate! I really love it! I couldn't download it when I've added it to my favorites but I sure like it and now with the full view I can see how hard is and how great you are ;)
