[Boring stuff, why I'm up with another doujin?]

Did this mainly because I wanted to do something, at least, for Valentine's Day. I mean,
hey, it's not like I have any Valentine or something, just doing something out of boredom.

At first, my idea was, hmm... to go by couple or just original single? After sometime of
dilemma and hesitation, finally I've decided to draw both, just in case. And I did both
sketches, but in the end I still like this one, my single version of Valentine's Day
submission.

[What freaking silly idea inspire me to do this?

Firstly, I chose this single version mainly because it's a little boring to see something
couply during Valentine's Day. I mean, if it's V-Day, does it actually have to mean couples?
I never heard such rule in celebrating V-Day, and by defying the definition of celebrating
such special day, this is what I've come out with.

By sketching the character and scanned them in, I coloured them with Photoshop, as usual. I
wanted to present the feeling of loneliness and mix that with nightime; which is hard to
explain itself, but it's just a scene where when every couple is celebrating V-Day with their
loved ones at night, there's a girl walking alone, wandering around aimlessly under the
night sky. And, there she was, in a isolated garden feeling desolated. The garden was pretty
old, no one has been there for a long time, and the grass was all long and yet she walked
passed through those thick-like-bush garden and stood there for a moment. And this is how
she looks like there.

*For those girls out there, if you're still free and single, cheers to all of you. Let's
share this moment with this silly-looking doujinshi I've done and let's partayy until
sunrise!

[Will boring stuffs like this takes lots of time to complete?]

Hm, not really. I mean, aside CG-ing the character, the background design wasn't so hard.
Since I've been planning this one quite a lot in the head, so I pretty much know what I must
do and yeah, it turned out pretty good. By using stocks photos from Stock Xchange for the
buildings and lamp post (Lampy. That's Evo and my pet, ^^), while the rest are just normal
stuffs like filters and brushes. Brushes are from DevArt.

[Those darn freaking titles I have there... where did I pick them from?]

Drag-On-Dragon OST - Hitori by Mika Nakashima
Chrono Cross OST - The Girl Who Stole The Stars by Yasunori Mitsuda

Hitori basically means alone. Which, is best suited with this one since she's all alone, and
yes, she looks like she has stolen all the stars from the sky. The sky is plain dark and
empty. Those 2 are worth the listen, if you like slow songs which are basically, not made
just for commercial use.

Currently listening: Vitamin C - Graduation (Friends Forever)

Hitori: The Girl Who Stole The Stars -- Best viewed in lower brightness.
As usual, 15% and below.

Hello Ephie, I like this doujinshi... don't spend too much time thinking about V-Day... I also try to ignore it. I am spending it alone even though I am actually not single... so isn't that even more depressing? *lol* Yeah well ... enough of that! ;)
The nightly atmosphere really becomes visible. The girl however is really bright... so hmm I explain that with the "stars" that are surrounding here. And it sort of looks as if she was enlightened... which I like ^-^! What I don't like that much is the lamp post. I think it wasn't really necessary. It looks beautiful on its own though... but yeah, I don't see why it is placed there ... in my opinion the whole doujinshi would look even better without it.
For the background, it is visible that it is a stock photo but it works okay I think. I personally find it difficult to combine vector graphics and photos... maybe it would also be worth trying to draw the background as well... but it's absolutely creates this atmosphere of a garden... :)
The girl looks lonely... i like how you positioned her in the image...
So I am going to add this doujinshi to my favorites! I think it does deserve that! ^-^

    Wow, very very cool!
Her expression is just so sad!
She's drawn and colored super well and the bg is awesome too.
    Excellent job!

A doujin for Valentine's Day? Not bad...

Valentine's Day is not always happy so I like this theme of yours. A sorrow within the heart of a lady is, I guess, somewhat fascinating and yet...

    Damn... that's what I don't want to see... >.<

The character, you drew it and scanned it. I guess you're really improving on the character presentation I see. And the background... so far I don't see much "unnecessary" things and the atmosphere of the scenery is really well suited to what the girl feels.

I just wish I can draw... T_T I'm sooo jealous of you!

*cheers to the guys alone on valentine's day as well* ^_^'

Anyway, i think it's a pretty good drawing, i like the feeling of it, the lampost is particularly cool (i don't know why, i think about alice in wonderland).
Even though maybe the chara doesn't fit perfectly into the bg, i can see you've put some effort in the process. what i find weird and interesting is that the trees look more like they're shadows of trees and not actual trees ;) (maybe because of the radiance of the stars the girl's holding)

About the character herself, i think she looks too sad (i mean valentine's day ain't that important... though i wish we had the chocolate in france as well.... i like chocolate ^_^'). oh well i can be !
i like the scarf which seems to have a life of its own, and i think the deep violet goes well against the white dress, it really make the eye stay on the girl !
You've done a good job with the dress and legs, but her breasts are a bit messed up, and her shoulders are falling too much. Lastly, her face is too long i think :)

But otherwise i like the feeling a lot, so thumbs up XP

Wow...first time seeing a single for V-Day! Totally unique ^^

Yeah..I'm beginning to get feel of the desolation here....*sobs* Reminds of all those single girls out there >< Including mahself XD *parties along with Epphie-chan* XD

But the drawing looks like she's waiting for her lover to return...waiting under the brilliant night sky sparkling with millions of stars..then she got bored waiting and decided to steal the stars XD Jz kidding..

The girl's face looks weird...But I like the ribbons that are circling her body.. ^^ And the lamp post, awesome!

    Again, nice doujin Epphie-chan! ^^

absolutley beautiful Ephie and *fan girl screams* Lampy got an appearance, he is such a good boy *pats Lampy* your so cute yes you are. Since the girl looks sad I didnt really get cheered up for being one of the non-dateless valentines day people but then I remembered that Lampy can beat guys over the head and I can kidnap them...maybe I said too much *quickly runs off*

    Hey... nice work!
But some how... it has a depressing air and a sad sensation which is rare to see in "valentine's Day themed doujinshis... but that's just me, hehe.
The cg-ing is very good, as usual, the character is very lovely ^_^' and I LOVE the bg, very detailed.

Hey, nice douijin! It really looks you pput a lot of work here, and it looks really well accomplished it, I love it! I think you did a great job with the background, it looks great. I love the trees and the lamp, even though they may look a bit too realistic compare to the chara, they look really good ^^
The chara design is nicely drawn, I like her face, though she seems really sad. However, I think you should lower a bit her eyebrows, they seem to be really apart from the eyes. I also like her dress, it's pretty and you did a very neat job with the foldings. The line where her breasts start seem somewhat off but that is just a minor detail. it looks good overall ^^
I really think you did an fantastic job, on of your best douijins in my opinion ;) I love the way you colored it, maybe I'll learn someday too XD
Keep up the good work Ephie-san!
