Have you seen Evangelion? They're as tall as buildings. In contrast, Mobile Suits(such as Gundams) use them as mere shields against heavy fire.

Most mobile suits use buildings as cover, yes, and so do Evas. As for a fight between Wing Zero Custom and Eva 01, The winner would most definately be Wing Zero. I say this, because while the Evas are much larger than mobile suits as a whole, Evas are limited in their range by the power cable. Without it, they only have ten minute of power before they shut down. Gundams however, are not limited in such a fashion. As for Wing Zero, for those that have seen the second season ofGundam wing, when Zero was introduced, Zero has the ability to destroy a space colony in a single shot. IF thats not good enough for you, Zero is capable of 360 degree fire with the duoble buster rifle split in two and is capable of decimating an army. The pilots also play a part in this, While shinji is a capable pilot, he's a pussy and a coward, resulting his his Eva going berserk, or a dummy plug being activated. Heero Yuy on the other hand, was trained by an assassin since young childhood, and is not afraid to kill someone if they impede his mission. Lastly, Zero would defeat Eva 01, due to the fact that Wing zero was built with the Zero System, a program that will show any possible outcome in battle, making it possible for Wing Zero alone, to fight against an army, and come out victorious, even at hte death of it's pilot, Heero Yuy mastered Wing Zero's Zero System.
