After I saw this scan, I was very inspired to make something out of it. I really believe such images that mask the face
really display a strong emotion. :P
After cleaning up the image, I added some lighting and blending. I tried experiementing with some grunge-like random
brush 'splodding'. It took a while to get them how I wanted, but it came through in the end (I think). :P
Some more softening and texture brushing happened, blah blah, yep!

oh wow >_< a very unusual wall.
the wings look like as thought they are coming out of the wall. they look so realistic *_*
The blending of the colors looks great. it gives a kind of mystical feel.

Oh, wow, this is sweet. I like the colouring. I haven't seen the original scan but this wall is pretty good.
