I can't really make out what the pic is, what's a berserker unit? some robot? the title say it's a beast but...
it actually looks like a bloody hand holding a sword to me n the whatever it is lying around in a big view..
well..nice shading btw but the blood look stiff and not blended well in certain areas

While I don't like eva (don't hate me )...this is a great drawing of unit 1...good capturing of the emotion and violence in the "machine"
I think the blood drips on the face do make it hard to see, especially for someone who doesn't know what they're looking at
but I do like the contrast between bw and red

damn, you have a lot of time on your hands. In any case, it's a nice picture where color just adds to the dramaticness of the picture... I have watched Neon Genesis Evangelion and they story as well impressed me. Good shading as always.

Wow Eva, one of my first few animes that got me started and hooked to anime, so it's been a while. So to analyze this one need to go back in time, one second please... *hops in time machine.... ehm wat sound does a time machine make ... poof*

well another new style for me to analyze, so the focus of this review will be definately on the color, which is a first. However it's very necessary because without it you couldn't bring out the raw feel of this drawing. With your talent for shading this picture you can imagine that Unit 01 is screaming out, but with the blood I feel as if I have to cover my ears from the deafening screams.

As for constructive critiscism, hard to find in this one, but more of a question. I noticed that the shading wasn't as dark or "strong" as your usual drawings so I figure it isn't complete ne?

Glad to have you back, and as for being busy don't mind don't mind ^^. We all have our busy streaks, just hope during that time don't overwork yourself.

I know Renato would definitely love this. I wish I could draw mechas as well as you. I have no talent for it. I like the contrast of the bw and the red. It creates the in-the-moment feel. Also, it was well placed and looks natural. I like the shading and the perspective of the piece. It's really nice work~
