just playing with water colours :D

after i came from school today i just wanted to paint something. i didn't have any idea so i thought i could watch my favourite episode from final fantasy unlimited. the character is madoushi (for those who don't know, he is boy). after watching the anime i got idea to paint him. i really like the scene were makenshi and madoushi are fighting and when makenshi defeats him by crushing his crystal sword. in the scene there comes tears from his eyes before he disappears but i couldn't make them look good so i didn't paint them ^_^' so don't mind the tittle XP and i tryed to paint him look as he looks in the anime.

i made this to real water colour painting paper so that is reason why pattern of the paper can be seen so well >_< hope you don't mind that ! drawing is wholy painted with water colours :) i wasn't so sure is this pretty enough to be worth of submitting but i thought i still could share it with you...

well enjoy ! comments are appreciated ! and favs too if i get any >_>

waaaah~ a true watercolor pic from u now , zefie. I'm glad ur corageous enough to try new things *pats u* I myself have a hard time doing so XP . hmm...the watercolour is very soft and gentle to look at . maybe someday zefie could try water colouring with bold coloiurs XD ganbate ne ?

but , with this pic I think the light colours zefie used really help to create the mood of the pic. the facial expression this time is a lil hard to tell .maybe because the face is so big . (me have hard time too to make facial expressions come to life in big drawings ^_^') furthermore, in pictures only focusing the face area , expressions are really essential .

the tonnes and shades r really good and nice to look at . And I'm glad zefie chose really light colours for the bg .

overall , a good job . (zefie could watercolour better than me XD ! )
hope zefie does more watercolour works ~
    fav

    ooh ~ a watercolour pic ~ X3

overall it looks very lovely zefie-chan , the facial expression is nice n we sumhow can see the motion of the pic (like he's facing upwards very quickly XD lol)

the colours r very light , n maybe its too light that its hard to see in full view , I know using watercolours r hard .. >_> but maybe the colours should be a little contrast to balance the pic ^^

but actually zefie did a nice job ne ~ XD keep up the great work ~ >0< <33

I adore watercolour in general. It is one of the hardest techniques out there so everyone who "plays" with it has my deepest respect. I like the transperancy of it all and the delicate feel but although that is what watercoulour does in general I think you should not neglect contrast. So basically the main thing that comes to mind when I see this is that it lacks contrast.
    Otherwise great job!

this is really quite nice Zefie-san! it would be nice if it were a little darker, but that's all the "negative" comments i have to say about this one! i like how you did his eye and the shading on his hair! keep up the great work! :D

I agree with SilentNymph that water color is one of the hardest techniques and I see that you managed to make a lovely paint with it ;) although your paint needs some contrast as SN already adviced but everything else is done well, the details are done perfectly and the lines are smoothly painted not to mention that the colors you have chosen are really peaceful :)
I really hope that you'll make more water color paintings :)
    *adds it to his favorites*

Ooo, how beautifully serene! I don't know the anime (>.<), but I love the medium - it's such a rare one in fanart!

Actually, I like this one ^^ XD, it's got a very serene feeling, and the colors flow well with the mood that I feel from it. Great job ^^. *favs*

Its not like I know anything about drawing techniques like the others , but this for sure seems to be one of the hardest one to get used to (water colors) ^_^'
Iv always said your water colors drawing were pretty ..and that one prove it again ;)
indeed , we can feel the feel from it and nice work and choice on the light colors and shading , love it! :D

Wowies, another one of your awesome work! And it's watercolours too! I love the soft colours, it's really something! Amazing work! The expression and the watercolouring is really well done. You're becoming quite the painter!

It's Madoushi! (I thought it was Makenshi at first ^^;) LOL, awesome work! Keep it up!
