I don't think there a lot of things to change... Adding effects may disturb the balance of the wallie...

I probably spent way too long on this one. I drew all the lines and coloured it all in manually, with 66 layers making up the 20mb .xcf Gimp file currently using... about 300mb of RAM. I went for the clean look, and in retrospect, I probably made the lines far too thick and too dark. Oh well...

Unfortunately, it was only 1030 pixels wide, and with a low-ish quality scan, I would be re-CGing it anyway, so I thought why not try a vector?
It was a rather large project to take on for my first real attempt at a vector. The hair and uniforms are really complicated and getting the shading and the eyes right was a real pain in the lower back.
C&Cs are greatly appreciated. It seems a little simple at the moment, so it needs spicing up with some effects. Any ideas? I'm fresh out and have grinded to a halt in finishing this wallpaper. I've been working on it solidly for about 2 weeks and I'm pretty much sick of the sight of it!
I was going to add a blossom petal-covered ground to replace the original background, but I can't source any stock photos, and neither can I source any blossom brushes for The Gimp.
Hope you like. As I said before, C&Cs are warmly welcome. I really want this to be my first really good attempt at a vector wallpaper and any input to make it better would be great!

for a first vector it's almost perfect! i cant really find any mistakes with it except the fingernails which is kinda minor. otherwise.. it's lovely! & for u 2 start a 1st vector on such complicated picture.. it's really good effort!
