This was another experimentation walls i did in a whopping 3 hours, I chose this imag because it had a similar sadness in accordance to my own melancholy... its not love but more on the side of being detached from everything else in the world. I wanted to make a half on half design portaying the lighter and darker shades of the unusual color placed on her in the original scan. I later on added borders and made it somewhat of a triptych and a base... added some random japanese prints to give that japanes style borders you see in houses. I didnt want to make an uber bloodful wall since the main subject is portrayed in her eyes and the way her hands combine with dirt and stains, added some scratch and grunge brushes to give a textured look then slapped a decent text. i had a hard time giving a true sense of a colored atmospher but ended up with a weird purple-pinkinsh brown glow plus the blue too so it may stay to to a simple and neutralization of colors and imagery.
Nothing much to say but its a fairly good wall.... I hope you like it.

The main purpose of the theme is based on the fact that I as an individual get too much warped in my own understanding of where i fit into the world that i loose track on identity and self love for myself, i see that image and i feel nothing just a hint of guilt for myself and that it will change me alot as i get higher in my theorized understandings. I born in a Middle eastern country raised by Filipino parents, taught by the British and now living in Canada.... now how many people have that kind of life? no homeland to go to, no one culture you can base your whole life in... people like us try to fit with the crowd or just simple go our own way. I never said it was a bad thing but more confusing to realize, but who am i to judge, playing "God" wont make you a decent person in the long way.

OracleAngel is known for making wallpapers which don't fit into the norms of MT, and this one is no exception. First of all, the effects used not only add emotion to the character, it almost slows your eyes down to look at the texture in the piece. Great concept and ultimately achieved with flying colours.

and i find the japanese figures on the left humerous.
BUT I HAVE A REASON!
it is because i used them as refrence when i did my drawing for storyboarding final last quarter
i did the last samurai and had about 5 refrences for that japanese scroll style, and that was one of em!
anyways...
i like how it just cuts off and is all chatoic up top, and then more "tranquil" on the bottom. i havn't seen the anime/manga so i dunno if that was for a specific reason, but i really likes it.
text is nice, and composition is a centered one which works real well in this case.
no complaints from me. i just love your grunge stuff :3

heavy drinking and sleeping are my only sanctuary of late... an endless downward spiral that slowly drains my energy..
