~Hello everyone! *hugs*~

In continuation of my month themes (October Breeze, November Harvest, and yeah, no December T_T), here is January's ^__^

Crisp, cold weather....bitter winds...the gloom of an approaching storm...snow blankets the ground and clothes the trees...it's January...

Of course--PLEASE--download to see details...if you want ^^

Hardest-->
---The Mountains. Made entirely from scratch.
---The Clouds. Trying to make realistic, wispy, daunting, dismal clouds for the hint of the blizzard.
Hard-->
---All the Snow detail. Making the road have wisps of snow with shadows, snow clumps on wall bottom and on wall, and worst of all--the snow on the various evergreens >_< That was a .... nevermind =) Let's say an hour of smudging, blending, and all other effects ^^
---Conifer trees. They were brushes that I made. I didn't want to do "stick" trees since many other walls have those. So I tried to do conifers to give that wintery-feel.
Fun Part-->
---There was a fun part? LOL I guess making the snow flurries ^^

So please Enjoy the month of January!
And of course I am forever grateful for all of your comments, tips, advice, etc.
Thank you all!

    Like the background ! *Freezing* Good work on this wallpaper !

  3. Guts Jan 20, 2006

    You've done a excellent job, the snow matches her hair so smoothly like it's almost a part of it. And, what I realllly love is the waterbrushed strokes over everything, it's the winter air distorting the view with it's cold breezes. You've done wonderfull work.

  4. enchantressinthedark Jan 21, 2006

    Wow! The background ish very nice! But the whole wall ish a lil blurred.

  5. Nickisherenow Jan 21, 2006

    not bad ^^ i feel the colours ought to be a bit brighter though dont u think?

  6. hsh31 Jan 22, 2006

    This wall really looks better when you download it... too bad I´ve never seen snow in my entire life! *sobs* But your image of it more than makes up for that, yeah, so thanks a lot! Oh, and I love the pine trees. An awesome job, as usual!

    I just love these monthly theme walls that you're making, though we're not having much of a winter season this year due to lack of coldness and snow. Excellent wall as usual, but the extraction could've been better? ^^

  9. Nona Jan 31, 2006

    I like the trees I like the trees! :D Yes, this is really a january wallpaper. Very nice!

    Waah...I forgot to keep checking your page to see when you come out with now walls! Sadness...oh well, I'll try remembering now. (on to the wall)

    A very nice addition to your month series, Emma. The trees are beautifully done; very realistic, not to mention how cool they look with the snow on them. ^_^ And the sky...you got just the right combination of colors to create the clouds with blue sky trying to peek through behind them. The little snowflakes were a lovely addition, and the brick wall was really cool.

    The girl, though, has got to be my favorite part (closely followed by the sky then trees). She just looks like she's dressed for January weather (well, where I live a raincoat is more appropriate, but then again it rarely snows...). Warm winter coat with a turtle neck underneath...ah, just lovely. Her eyes are a lovely shade of blue, too. The only thing I say might've made the wall a bit better was if you had added the misty breath (you know how you see your breath when it's cold enough? That's what I mean).

    Very nice wall, miss Emma :D And sorry for the late comment ^_^;

    Yay, I love winter wallies! And this one is so cute, specialy for the scan. I also love girls with white/grey hairs xDD
    The sky is very nice, also the road and the wall... The tress looks different, maybe they needs some more green, but I'm not so sure. The mountains needs some texture I guess.
    Overall, the wallie is pretty good! I liked it more for the beautiful winter scenery. Good job again, Emma-chan ^^

    Definetly a fav x)

    Well, what a pleasant suprise! I haven't been on MT for a while, and now that im not so busy I have returned only to once again be able to gaze at yet another beautiful work of art by you! I really do love this wallpaper! As all of your others. Snow is such a beautiful thing in my mind, so naturally images with snow in them catch my attention. Anyways, I think you did a great job with this one! Its really beautiful! Oohhh, I hope you still remember me! It has been a while, I hope that you've been doing well Emma. Take care now!

    nyu!~ yesh.. no december.... T_T
    hmm.. first of all.. the scan looks kinda blurry and grainy to me.. >.< haha... you made the moutains yourself? :D if you dont say it.. i still thought that it was from somewhere.. but after you said.. hmm.. it looks weird to me. lolz. XD i guess it ish the colouring of the mountains.. ^_^' wha.. some clouds really looks cripsy.. hahaha.. goodie job on that.. last but not least.. the snow... wha.. flurry cotton wools in the sky.. hahha.. very pwetti.. goodie job, emma... *claps* thanx for sharing your wallie.. ^^

  14. Elven-Inccubus Feb 24, 2006

    I really like the feeling it projects. Thoughts mixed on the grey horizon while they are covered with cold ice but protected by the warmth of that girl's heart! Congratulations! ^^ I'll add it to my Favorites!

    Excellent mix of colors, keep it up! *two thumbs up*

  21. theartmaster Nov 18, 2008

    Very nice! Great job with the trees and snow! The wall is also good.

  22. chipsahchoi Nov 27, 2008

    O.O! oh snap! this is good stuff, especially because episode 24 is my favorite since tomoyo/tomoya belong together. hahhaa! =]

    hmm, the only thing I would have to mention is that tomoyo looks a little awkward in that picture since her background is really unfocused and blurry while she's really defined. But it adds to the overall effeect. :)

  23. nanaa-chan Dec 08, 2008
