well i know that tama and ayasal used this photo for her arts too.. i liked the photo very much so i visted the da-page from "psimau" and asked him for his permission because its NOT a stock photography - and i get it today. rather i should have to do my homework but i am not in the mood for - so i created this wallpaper art of memories off.
the girl has taken some cherry blossoms with herself in the tower an now she open her hand and the blossoms flying away. its a bit windy on the top of the tower..
AND yes i know much of you would say "oh another simple wall from asahi" .. but hey i dont like to use to much brushes for a nightly sky or something eles. the chara is in the front not the nightly sky (background) - thats the usability of a desktop wallpaper <3

I love it! That's a great scan (I've seen it used before, but that just proves it's one of the better ones!) and you've done some really nice stuff with the background - crisp vectoring.
More than that though, it's a beautifully composed picture - a work of art. Once again: I love it :D

The scan is a nice choice, although to be niggly and point out really small details - the extraction around her hair needs a little more pixels cut off of it...otherwise, I only have good things to say about this wallpaper :)
I do love its simplicity, the colours are nice. It's a nice idea, and the concept and theme behind it really help to give a little more emotion and feeling to the wallpaper. Love the small tiny stars, not overdone in the slightest, and although not detailed, a nice piece of work.

You know, I am sick of people saying "Your wall is simple" Goodness! Maybe that is the way we want it! We don't have to spice things up with tons of brushes or sparkles. Just the simple things are beautiful enough.

From reading your description, I am moved. I feel a compelling sadness somehow--being there at the top of a clock tower by myself and holding onto cherryblossoms (always symbolic for something)...letting them go and off they do flutter among the winds...

but yea.. that girl image is a bit over use... but its fine.. the result of the wall came out looks very sharp and nice... thats what counts...

I've seen lot of wallies using this scan ;) and I must say that yours is also good :)
the background is done well and simply beautiful! but I think that this kind of scans need a different background something with a nature scenery! it needs a sakura tree behind her with sakura leafs scattering everywhere XP
anyway your version looks good and you deserve a favorite for the lovely work you did! so keep it up! -
