A bit too simple perhaps. bg is suppose to be the blade, no? I like the idea, but the grey backdrop just not doing anything for the overall.

Just an old wallpaper I scrounged up created about 4-5 years ago.

Yeah, I was going for a minimalistic approach with this piece. I had a lot of folders on my desktop and I didn't want the background to be too loud, so I created this. The bg is simply random, I think originally it was a photograph of some trees and it's just blurred. I'm not sure what the line of text says, I scanned it from some magazine a long time ago. :)
