Artist Comment
This was my submission for the first round of TREC. (Official website: http://members.mpx.com.au/t_r_e_c/)
I was very nervous about this round since I didn't know what DDR (Dance Dance Revolution) was all about... and actually
I still don't know. *lol*
So I spent most of the time investigating... that is trying to find screenshots of the game. But nothing really helped.
So in the end I simply decided to do something with a brick wall... *lol* I chose another one of DREAM's beautiful
scans... the original art is by Ogi (http://gallery.minitokyo.net/view/171147/).
I already made a Ogi wall in the past... and I also used graffiti and a brick wall. This time it was important though to
remain with one basic color: that is blue, since blue was the color of my group AO. :)
To that I didn't want the whole background to be too confusing. Cause what the screenshots showed me looked rather
simple. I thought this background would be okay to still make the DDR arrows visible...
I hope I improved my blending abilities... I tried very hard to make the graffiti look more real...
Well then the comments of the judges came out... I was scared to read them... *lol* but in the end I am satisfied with my work... and looking forward to the next round which I must finish during the next days. I had problems to access a computer.... so for all of you who read these lines and who haven't heard of me for a while... I am just back at my computer now... and tomorrow I will go back to Austria which in the meantime really got covered in snow... ;)

Oohh! This? >.< I especially loved this one for some reason. The vector is excellent. :) And I like the wall, looks like even the wall was vectored to pieces, and the graffiti are done realisticly. :) Awesome job, Regen~

When I got this entry I really liked the funkiness of it all. It fitted it really well and it looks nice on screen too~ this is one good looking DDR background and you did it extremely well :)

The only thing that seriously strikes me about this wall is how much the chinese "dance" character on the top right corner and your signature stands out XP Otherwise yah... I think this must've been a terrific and very fitting entry for the Rotten Egg contest :D
