SCMP Group Pic -no colours-

Artist Comment

this is either I'll colour it manually (by hand) or digitally(photoshop or OC).

Soul Capture Manga Project's prototype pin-up/poster/manga page. >_>

not actually a manga page... because it really sucks... anyway, My computer is back to life... down graded... so it's so slow.
Comments and Critiques are highly needed, but don't be harsh... please and thank you. There's lots of mistakes here... I'm starting to suck at drawing with perspectives and proportion T^T

The Characters from bottom to top, left to right
Aoki Yatsuka (the one with the katana)
Denise Makoto (with the gun)
Ryuuen Tanaka (with his bombs, the circle things, Baku and Hiro)
Tenjou Ishikawa (with the lance)
Ryuu [Bakudan] Shimokawa (the one with the wings)
Aoi Hamazaki (the big face :nya: )

this is a free-for-all pic, so no sample text in japanese nor englis ;D

I like the simplicity of the drawing. The background you used (white box on black bg) will help accentuate the colors whenever you get around to coloring it. I love the way you used the black and white contrast around hair and the coat collar edges of the large face (Aoi Hamazaki, I believe).

The characters themselves mostly look good from here (it takes my comp forever to download, so I'm looking at it standard view now). Details are present at all levels of the scan, not just on the foremost characters or anything like that.

You say that your drawing is really starting to suck with proporttions and the like, but I must disagree. I'm no expert by any means, but I only see one thing that doesn't seem to match up. I believe it's Aoki Yatsuka's left leg (on the right from my view); the frontmost character. It looks as though you were trying to put it further back in the drawing, but it just looks...I don't know, wrong. Anyway, that was the only problem I was able to notice, personally.

I like the way you drew the weapons, personally; they look realistic, as far as this kind of drawing goes. Anyway, I'd love to see a colored version of this; good job. :)

Welldone for fitting in quite a few characters! It workd heaps well too.
I agree with the above comment on the left leg of Aoki, it looks just slightly disproportioned.
But overall, really great details. It looks professional^^
I like this black and white, but I still can't wait for you to colour it.
    *favs* :D

It's so nice to see a new drawing from you :)
So you say you need some critiques... T_T I'm not too good in pointing out mistakes, but as others said, maybe Aoki's leg looks a bit weird, somehow.. too small, maybe..? But that's a great thing that you tried new perspectives, it's definitely a plus, even if they're not perfect. I'm sure with a little practice, next time you will be able to draw perfect poses, even the weirdest ones ;)
And another thing, (which is just slightly noticable) is that the girl's ( the one with the gun, Denise Makoto..?) hand is a bit short, or maybe her head is a bit big, I don't know, but that depends on the artist's style, too... for example, the girls in Sailor Moon (sorry for the weird example ^_^' ) has a bit longer legs than average, but it's still correct, it's just the creator's style...

But honestly, I'm really impressed by all the work and effort you put into this drawing, all the characters are nicely made and I really like all the details, just as CLAMPchick said, not just the main character has got many details, even the "smallest" character, Ryuu is nicely detailed too!
And nice composition too, I like the way you put your charactesr together, I think this would make a great page of the manga! :)

I would be happy to see the colored pic too, because I see you worked with it a lot and it would look even better in colored version! =)

Hope I was helpful in some ways... ^_^

Eheh nice poster idea here, i like the "all character" concept. really nice stances for all of them, i like the way Aoi's hair melt into the black bg.
It seems that some of them have the same belt (that is Ryuuen, Aoki and Tenjou), and some of the clothes are hard to tell, it seems they all have a respective animal right? but i'm sure that if you color it it'll stand out more, and be clearer ^_^
the little bombs are cute ^_^', as always a great deal of detail everywhere and cool outfits.

same critics as above, plus maybe Ryuu is a bit blurry or something (especially his face), but since he's so far away, must be hard to make it seem clear .

    so good job XP
