This wall was half a quickie, and half a struggle.
to start, mew mint was vectored from a screenshot. a very low quality screenshot.
which you can see right here:
so the vectoring was tough. especially her hands. but i feel it was really worth it.
i didn't want it to look exactly the same. i made it a tad more dramatic through contrast in the background. the feathers and sparkles i tried to mimic (in style, not in placement or anything) from the original, but added a few more for even MORE drama. basically, thats all there is to say.
the background took me about an hour to make or so, and the vector i've been working on on and off for about a month. and by on and off, i mean once a week for an hour or so if even.
i like pretty transformation sequences, which is one reason why i like shoujo anime like this (oh god...the girl in me comes out) i don't plan on doing any of the other mew mew's. but who knows, maybe i will.

*___* Prettiness! Great job in the vectoring ^^ I can never ever vector like that XD
I love the composition and the colour. It's so blue.
Though it looks simple, I am sure you've put in a lot of effort *nods nods* After all, it's kalico-sama's work XD

Nice work! As you said, simple but dramatic. And very effective at the same time :) .

Mew Mint has the prettiest transformation in the anime! I'm impressed that you took it from such a low quality image! Personally, I expected the wings to have a sparkle outline with softer edges, but your take on it also looks quite nice.
