I'm Counting Down the Days, Tonight!
I just wanna be a million miles away from here
I'm counting down the days...
(c) Lyrics copyright Natalie Imbruglia
It's been a while since I actually came up with my latest desktop wallpaper. I thought maybe its been the right time to start woking again. Actually, this wallpaper idea came out to me like a blessing. It never was in my plan, but I guess when you have to do something, you gotta do it! A striking passion, not only for art but most importantly, faith. If you have seen my scraps a while, I had a couple scan there I drew myself which was supposed to be my next wall. But I really didn't feel like making that one yet and I just had to do this one. I love my decision and I love how the artwork came about!
Why is the title Counting Down the Days?, you'd probably ask. Well, aside from the chillout music as an inspiration, well, I had an urge to keep and to do angelic art. I dunno, but I love angelic art. Especially those that glorify the Higher Power. This angel over here is actually my portrayal of Jamie Sullivan, a baptist reverent daughter. She is pure, kind and even though she was a fictional character, her words, her faith was real unlike most people in the real world.
Light is not something to be belittled. I've been reading the Bible and in the book of Revelations, it explains to me the mighty power of the heavenlies. Maybe a very powerful inspiration for this specific artwork. I dunno but in my portrayal to the power of light, it has to be mighty yet gentle, powerful yet elegant, and something that is protective and destructive. Destroying anything evil in its path.
Light is a very powerful force. A small insight though, that light belongs in darkness. For if we keep the light to ourselves, Christians, in the Sanctuary, what else is there to light?
In ending, I wish you all a good day and I hope my simple dev be an inspiration towards spirituality, elightening others to believe, to have faith.
