Artist Comment

Well, didn't submit anything in a little while, and i promised someone I would present something new tonight... besides, I'm celebrating tonight, I just had my last exam of the session, so now, VACATIONS! finally i can rest a little... i hope <.<

So here's Kosuke from Samurai Deeper Kyo... (definitely not Yukimura XD) I don't have much to say about this drawing. It's one of my new ones, though it's not the newest, it shows coz' her contour is a little pale, but i'm too lazy to repair... nah kidding, it's just that repairing would probablly screw the shading up (the part with pointillism on her clothes would be completely messed up, so i'd rather not touch up... the right side is already messy enough as it it). But regardless of this little defect, I really like this drawing, maybe coz' the details took me so long to do, and the end result is quite good, well, I think anyways ^_^' Enjoy!

    Hmm can't tell if I made the right choice or not "boy or girl" but can't have gone to wrong... I really like this drawing... highlight for me in this one is the clothing.

    Contours are great, and so happens that the shading and the design of the dress makes the drawing have an old painting look which is really cool, but there's the contrast of the pretty much shoulder on up is young and vibrant. It's really unique.

    Constructive feedback: I would probably of left her left hand out, because it was tough to draw and don't think I would have noticed it too much.
    The tail end of her dress (the darker black section) maybe cause it's that much darker, but kinda clashes with the other sections of her dress.

    Finally for a BAKA you never cease to impress me with your work... so if that's the case what's that make me XD... *wonders what would have happened if I chose boy*

    you really did a nice job on this one Ayamael-san! yes, definitely NOT yukimura! XD you did an excellent job on the patterns of the clothing-- from the floral print to the different textures! everything looks spot on! well, there's something off with either that lock of hair between her eyes or her eyes themselves... but great job anyways! keep it up! :D

    Ooh very nice yukata ^_^ (do rustic ppl have such clothes? or is it because you're returning back in your campagne :) jking)

    anyway as i was saying (hum hum), the shading's pretty good and the clothes are just awesome. proportions seems alright as well ;)
    now to the flaws *doujinshi eater mode on* : somehow, one of her eye seems a bit darker than the other, it's got that black part in it that's weird... but maybe it's because she's like that in the anime? (i don't know it sooo)
    her hand is pretty well drawn though the edges aren't enough curvy. it also seem like you had a problem scanning it or something, looks like there's a little mismatch about the level of her arm (you know like when you put two complementary pictures from two different pages, and you make them fit together ^_^').
    also, i get a weird feeling from her legs, not about proportions or drawing, but their position. it would seem she's walking right, but the fact that the volume of her clothes is mainly on her left side, and her legs more on her right side, it makes it weird. maybe it suggests some wind, but then you could have made her hair fly a bit to her left as well ^_^

    okay that's a long comment, i think it's a pretty good drawing anyway, long time no submitting, and you start again at full speed ;). enjoy your holidays, don't feel that you have to read all of it (though if you're down to that part...)

    Yes, definitely NOT YUKIMURA! (*^.^*) Ohohohohoho, wonder how she fools anyone with her huge... *ahem* "tracts of land" so to speak. *whaps self in face* I love the detail on her clothes, it's lovely!

    Well... I think this is a very well done doujinshi from the waist up ^^;;. Only because I got lost afterwards and my eyes took a while to figure out what was going on below due to the shading.
    I Agree with Anjhurin with the leg position, but not due to the clothes, I tried to pose in the same way just to see if it wasnt just me, but couldnt. I think the hip is facing the wrong way and should be inverted? but meh enough said.
    The shading is great however it gets complicated below the waist, I know you couldnt change the style halfway through though. It worked brilliantly above.
    Good work, hopefully this doesnt sound flamish.. I could list all the good points for paragraphs, but where is the fun in that XP

    This looks great aya-san! ^__^ it's a very detailed drawing and it looks very well, The shading must have been a hard work, but you did an excellent job! I really like the fact that you used different tones of shades, darker and lighter ^^ I really like the clothes, you drew them really well and with lots of details and the foldings are ok. Although there is something weird in her hip or a bit lower. Nice try with the hand ^^ oh! and great hair! ^^ You did a great job aya-san! **

    I'm detecting an inside joke that only SDK fan would get, lol ><

    Anyways, it's a very nice drawing, i'd say one of your best. I love all the detailing of her clothes, especially the floral patterns (at least that's what i think that is...) And the contrast between the different light and dark tones make for quite a nice striking picture. Her eyes don't seem to level, one of them is a bit too much off to the side of her face, then again, i'm not sure. Nevertheless, nicely done.
