Artist Comment
I've been meaning to paint the background for this pic for quite a while, but I never could work up the motivation, so I just skipped ahead to making a wall with it, and creating the BG in Photoshop. I'm pretty happy with the result, esp. as I found it reasonably hard going.
And I will apologise up front to those who like busy wallpapers, 'cause I'm not one of them, and I don't intend to add anything else to this. ^_^'
Because I drew the pic myself, I don't have to credit anyone for the scan! (It's a nice feeling...) However, I did get some good ideas on how to go about making a wood texture from a handy little tutorial which can be found here.
That's about it, I guess, so please enjoy.

I like the image of Kenshin here, and you did a great job with painting the BG as well! I like the leaves! ^^
