I'm sorry I disappeared for awhile! I just got through with Finals at school.
Anyways, this is my first doujinshi submission here, so I hope it turned out
okay.
Overall the birds were drawn by me in photoshop (except for their wings and the
lil decorative feathers on the phoenix's head and gold tail). The background was
a mixture of effects and brushes, but I lost all of the sites I had bookmarked
so I don't remember who all was supposed to be credited for the brushes! (please
forgive if you aren't mentioned and linked to, but if you notice your brushes
let me know and I will correctly link 
).
Also, this is my depiction of the mythical Halcyon (in real life, the birds that inspired them in stories were the kingfishers). I love these two birds in particular, so I'd wanted to draw them for sometime. The phoenix in particular was inspired by my itoko Morilinde's character.
