This was taken from the cover of the 1st Issue of TokyoPop's Takuhai,Summer of 2005. This is also my 1st scan, W00t! w00t! This is a scan from the series Princess Ai
I scanned this.
Image was originally scanned in at 600 DPI. By using a series of steps, Gaussian
Blur, resample at 25%, resharpen, and finally to level equalize the color/gamma
palette, this submission is the final result. I'm quite happy since it is still
at least twice as big as the original.
Gomenasai (very sorry) for the crinkle in the corner. My second submission will be a little cleaner (^_^). If you like this scan, please visit and support TokyoPopThanks.
Update : 2005.12.07
Due to a low scan submission, I updated my scan. It is now much larger than
before. All was done with Gimp.
Update : 2005.12.08
This (and two other) are my first scans, so sorry for being rusty. I was 95%
sure I knew the rulez, but some issues over this scan submission had me
looking over the FAQs and policies again. There were a couple things I missed,
so I'm adding them here.
This submission was a higher quality than its previous submission found here. It is larger (2,500x3,364) compared with (2,148x2,816). Like I mentioned before, this was scanned at 600 DPI, (4041x5438) - 64mb file XP. I did all of my filtering before resizing the image. I resized it to be as big of a file I could possibly send (I think 5124mb is the Max limit, something like that).
Anyway, it could be debatable that the previous submission is of better quality becuase mine has a minor crease in the lower right corner. Well anyway, I'll leave that up to the moderators.

Thank you for submitting this scan. While it is inarguably larger in resolution than the previous one posted, it seems slightly blurry, maybe too much gaussian blur. The crease in the bottom right is easily fixed by using either a cloning brush or the push tool. I will assume that GIMP has something that can perform those functions. It's good to see people actually fixing and preparing scans before posting them to their gallery. Thanks again.
It's huge! A little to huge for me to d/l.

Oh well, I'll wait.
Excellent! Keep up the high quality submissions!
Fave!
