Yesterday, I sat down at my compy, and six hours later, I had this wallpaper!
(Goes
to show that Photoshop is a good cure for boredom!)
If you've ever seen the original scan before,
you'll remember that the background had wrecked ships and writing. I went about
and erased that stuff out. In its place, I used a program called Terragen to generate the
mountains, and I digitally painted the explosion. To top it all off, I added a
B-26 bomber just to show what had made the explosion. 
Why a
B-26? I dunno. They look cool, if you've ever seen a picture of one.
The final touches included some crazy color adjustments, a radial zoom, and film grain. I wanted to capture that discolored WWII film feel.
I had a lot of fun making this one! 
I hope

I think you could have done without adding so much noise...but it's still better than the original backround if you ask me.
