Enjoy and reflect ppl and just have fun.. cause that's what it's all about.

wow, gotta love the texture... it's like one of those traditional Japanese calligraphy paper sorta textures... I also really am enjoying the colours used... the purple.. the black and the yellowish colour... the calligraphy (traditional) mixed with the modern (the scan) is really quite funky-

King Spice got attitude yo! XP

*tries to make out the strokes in the 'en' in 'eien'* ... funky *___*

simplicity at its best showing a ceratain japanese style to the whole wall... Love the effects mostly! Great job nonetheless! :P

    Purple!
This is very nice. Love the mix of traditionnal callygraphy and jap. sun with the modern text and HTK. The birds really add something important to your composition, great element of depth. Lovevly work with the colors too, PURPLE!

love the idea, and the texture is played out very well over the peice, but it almost seems like the character is over detailed for the style of art you're going for here, great work nontheless though.

    I like this, it's nice DernierCri :)
I especially like the idea of the little design in purple that partially continue on the letter of the front.
    Beautiful callygraphy.
Keep it up with your always original work!

    wa..this would make a super cool poster!~
love the design and the font...but i would love this in another color...not purple...dunno why...
    maybe a rustic red...or something....just my preference *_* hehe
    great job!~

interesting combination of colors~~very elegant piece~& i love the calligraphy. but i'm not so sure about the english text on the very bottom; they are interesting texturely, but they also makes the bottom too heavy compare to the top.

    scan can be found here

sorry for the late comment my friend.

your abstract art: well kudos for intergrating a scan which had no bg whatsoever into this. the sun, birds [tastes like chicken- brushes?] i suppose, and the pink-purplish coloring on neutral colors set against a bg reminescient of old rice [paper] painting is phenominal.

small crit: the bird at the bottom left is missing part of it's right wing and i think reducing ETERNITY in half would have been a little more ideal..

damn man- how do you keep changing up your artwork [styles] and keeping the same high quality?

  16. flyindreams Nov 21, 2005

Lovely :3 Love the Asian style XD A very interesting way of using Hyung Tae Kim's artwork, for sure :) I think I agree with ayaki about the rustic red though... *_* Because red is awesome XD and... the proportions for the "eternity" Chinese/Japanese kanji just looks... off. The side strokes don't look long enough... u_u;; I can be real picky about my Chinese type... but anyways, I like it, I think this is one of my favorite original artworks from you :)

Killer, DC! I totally love the asian style text, it compliments the badass looking Magna Carta character nicely! Also, purple looks mad stylish, it reminds me of a Broadway poster I used to see almost everyday! Love it, man! + favs :D

I've never really liked Magna Carta pics. I know why now, though - it's the colour. I always thought I was put off by the disproportionate shapes (well, I still am for the more ecchi samples), but it's more the colour. This greyscale w/ purple look is great... not only is it purple (yay purple), it's really elegant - not something the originals can claim too often with their colouring.

Anyway, enough of my MC-bashing. It's not that bad, just not to my taste either. Cya.
