ooo. My least favorite character featured with my favorite background (being earth's fire of course). Great job. I just wish you would've picked a nice guy... hehehe...

This is my entry for the derka competition.

The original scan, was a black and white manga scan, similar to this one found in the animepaper gallery:

So, since it was black and white, i took it, and i fully revectored it in illustrator. i had to create from my head all
the shadows and many of the folds in his cloth (especially inn the black area). also, for compositional purposes, i had
to finish the cloth that is cut off in the original.
so after a lot of time reCGing ths whole scan, there was much stock manipulation, and much mroe lighting effects added,
and trees made from scratch and texturing and all that good stuff, until finally, i came up with what you see
here.

I love the simple, happy feel the character gives me when i see this wall... both crumbling and bloodlusted than most of your walls like this but hey got to love a guy who loves destructon in his midst! ^_^ Anyway crispy clean wall of goodness! lovely job as always Kalico! :)

Wow!So beautiful!I didn't like much this chara...I don't why, his smile remembers me a freak person....
But he fits so well the background that looks like when he'll open his eyes he'll kill any person in front of him-->thirsty for blood >_< I actually like that kind of chara LOL

Looks damn cool. Should find a pic where he open his slit eyes and smile then will have that really evil look. But overall xtremely good wallpaper. Very sharp pics and nice flame effects.

Dude.
This is cool. Easily one of the most intense walls I've seen, espesially since you've more or less done it from scratch. Great focus on Ichimaru, the flames and sparks are cool too. Nice too see you got the lightning on the tree right, except it seems kinda shiny left of Ichimaru's shoulder. I see you wen't the lazy way on the shadow of Ichimaru's hand, which is ik since it's the results that counts. However, the shadow shouldn't be so intence since he's standing next to a live fire thats on the left on him, shining right att the cape. The shadow, since it comes from a live flame, should be more vivid and alive, not so hard edges. He should also have another shadow on the right side of the hand. The shadow has a realy nice colour though.
Except from that, I love it. My fav part has to be the bottom part of Ichi, at his feet. Nice general colouring and "reCGing" too ;)

love the atmosphere u've created, the whole "im gonna destroy everything" really suit this sinister character. great job on the re-cging too, and the fire looks really really hot XD -
