okie doke XD
this is my first submit to MT3! i wanted to make it reflect a more mature style of walling from what my walls looked like when i first started walling in feb ^^
so, main premise behind this wall is to highlight the fact that planet aqua, a newly inhabited planet has been built to represent what the towns on Earth looked like around year 2000. by year 2301, the story's supposed timeline, year 2000 is long gone. the place where akari works represents Venice.
the scan was sorta covered by some text so that took some time to actually fix that part. then i went over main outlines
so it wouldnt look to messy.
i cut out some parts of the scan, fixed quality and rearranged them. i took a bit of work to get some parts to merge and
agree with other aspects of the wall.
the cleaning and extraction took about 2 days cause i work slow T_T
simple text work. random cloud stocks from stock exchange photo site.
dedicate to my sis who really likes the manga ^^

but yeah i like how the whole wall speaks beauty, my only fib is that the buildings sitting on the water seem weirdly
flat maybe because theirs not ripples or some reflection on the water but its just me when it comes to details...

Not a very original idea, that is for certain.
All you really did do was copy the original scans backround, and tried to make it your own. I realize that the scan wasn't very clean that you worked with in the first place, but there is a solution: don't use crappy scans.
Aside from the scan, the clouds look strange... like they were taken from "under" instead of from what view you have here. So it makes the backround look odd to whoever actually uses their eyes when looking at it. I am not too sure about the text spot either, but I guess that isn't very important.
EDIT: When I use credits to download highlighted wallpapers, I expect them to be flawless... but that isn't what I have been seeing lately.

Anyways it's nice that you've wanted to try a more "mature" walling style >:3 Although I think that your last one conveyed that pretty well XD. I think brom's right about the perspective clouds, but yah... the scan looks nice, and the general atmosphere / lighting is lovely :) Excellent fontage work, as always XP Love your titles, as you know already. Your walls always look so shiny XD It's interesting to see the flood of Aria walls recently :) Keep up the nice work kai! X3

Wowies, totally great wallpaper. The soft colours really brings out peace in the wallpaper. The character is really cute and I really love how you made the background match the colours on her clothing. Nice building, ancient yet modern. Awesome work! Keep it up!
