I almost didnt make this wallpaper, much less submit it. I was looking and looking it over and over and thought to myself, "Hey, nobody likes scenic wallpapers anymore..."
I see somewhat of a 'vector revolution' in the anime-wallpaper communities online. The wallpapers are less and less brushed and manipulated as much as they're produced as complete works of art all on their own.
I decided sort of that I'd eventually get there, to vectoring and making super clean super sharp walls but until then there was nothing wrong with submitting a wallpaper thats a little 'old-school', if you will.
This is a GS wallpaper featuring Lacus. 
She's found a beautiful little globe of life and has caught it! I
spent some time trying to make it look like she had something glowy in her hand
and I ended up with the slight pink glow with more yellow outerglows. Total pink
didnt look right although it would be more scientifically correcy.
the trees and lake scene in the background is taken from sxc .hu but the clouds and sky stock is taken from my own collection of photos I've taken.
I hope you like it regardless of the heavy use of the grass tool everyone hates. :p

nice background I really like it with Lacus there.
^^ Its good to see a variety of wallpapers, not all vectored ones...lol I guess wallpapers go through fads. To me its a little dark, although I guess thats what you get at night haha...and it brings out the glowing things

Just one thing...is there meant to be two little I dunno paint thingos one is a

looks great. I like scenic wallpapers. I think its gorgeous and i have a strange
attraction to trees... @.@ i like the tree branch over yonder, lol. Lacus looks
like she's holding a firefly<3 I love fireflies. You could have put a bunch
more over the grass

to me the bg looks alright.
My comment would be the shadowing of the char.
Tome it feels a bit off.
A little too dark to mathc the composition, i kinda lost its dominance as a subject.

Anyways...it's nice to see some old school scenery walls once in a while. And this is a good one indeed.
The composition and movement in it is really working. Just adding more grass to some open areas in the there will do good. Also yellow is not working in the signature part...just my opinion though

Its a very good concept, but the scan is too dim. I know there is supposed to be most of the character in shadow, but I think it would make her the focal point by having more of her in the light.

WOO... I love this wall.
But..er like bbls says what are the green and blue brush marks for, it seems rather to spoil the background scenery.
