Wow, it took me ages to finally get the fullview....
This one sure is totally different from your other works. The bg looks amazing, so real..... The sky is great. Just the birds look a bit... Dunno like all the same.
But it looks really different and somehow also strange to have an anime character in front of such a real background.... I think I have to see some more to be sure wether it fits or not ^^
Anyway, you did (as always) a wonderful job ^^

this looks really unique. and you made everything by yourself? Well thats really cool! The background is pretty and thats a cute little girl there. well it does kinda look weird with the real looking background and the anime character but its still nice and a pretty original idea. i don't know what the black dots on the birds are suposed to be but the birds look strange with that.
and the yellow part under the girl doesn't fit in that much, but the rest of the bg looks ok.
well since the progranm is new and you still have to learn how it works, you should give it a chance.

Hehe, I see you found Terragen too. It is indeed hard to work with. The little girl is adorable, where did you find that scan? I'm not sure she fits in with the background, maybe if you changed the lighting effects it would look better. I dunno. But I still really like it! Your Terragen render turned out better than mine did lol. Keep it up!

I don't know how Terragen can make such beautiful backgrounds! where did you get the program Idril? I just love this one, gonna fave it!

It sounds like you want honest feedback, so I'll let 'er rip:

1. The surface of the water has a "ripple" effect that indicates it's supposed to be moving, but there's a mountain range looking thing right in the middle of the river! It needs something else to make the motion more believable. (maybe a waterfall somewhere?)
2. I know I'm beating a dead horse on this one but the birds look bad; are they from Terragen? It might be better to stick with Photoshop for birds.
3. The cliff faces came out absolutely awesome! They look very sharply defined, and I think the best kind of scan would be a darker one that blends in with the cliffs, since the cliffs are the predominant feature. Somebody could be standing on a cliff in the foreground maybe. The bright pink girl in here would probably be more at home in a brighter background, a grassy one maybe.

I hope I wasn't too brutal- you obviously put a lot of work into this.

The background is really realistic! Good job! The girl also looks cute but I think it doesn't blends into the background. And one more thing, if you're making her feet touching the water, the character looks too big for the scenery...she looks like a giant ^^ Anyways, nice wallpaper! Hope to see more!

wowie...your background looks so beautiful and real! but i think that maybe the odd thing...the very realistic background doesn't quite seem to match the scan because it's too cartoonish/anime-ish. and the birds also look a bit strange. overall, you have a very lovely concept here, and the background is truly amazing! i hope you'll still continue to use this program...

I thought I saw a giant angel walking ontop of the water. Lol.

But seriously, the angel just don't fit in to be in this 3d wall. I guess your Terragen programme is a programme to create 3d items, I guess.

The angel isn't just animated, the angel was probably scanned from a manga. Unless the creator has the Takehiko Inoue style of drawing anime, I can't say anything.

Overall, this wall just look surreal. But background is really nice. But they just don't fit the scan.

hey Idril-Chan beautiful background you manage to create here with Terragen the landscape looks gorgeous! and well done! the scan you used is really cute and adorable but however I totally agree with bbls that the backgroudn doesn't suit the scan cause it's too realistic for it! so maybe if you try to make the background look less realitsic it would look awesome or change the scan and replace it with one that looks more realistic!
but I really loved what you did with the background it's really beautiful
