"Pease veiw the full version for all my little touches"
How i made this:
WHew this one took me a very long time 
. First the character i had to do a flawless extraction. Then i had to create
her dess that long... if u don't believe me on that part u can look at the
orginal scan here at mt. Also with my love of blushing i added some blush to her
face and made her a little more endowed "points at her chest" hehehe

Next i had to cut the dress to where it fit into the bridge... but still left
the grass showing over it... kinda tough lol. Then i added in rain "notices
the streaks" some sparkles and then my purddi peach burdies 
.
Then i had to change the colors of the character all around by duplicting her
and overlaying at a certain opacity and changing the levels. then i did the same
thing to the bg adding a cool dark effect at the bottom and light at the top.
Next was texturing the image... i first added a texture to the character
"had to select twice cause seperate the characters dress from the main body
so i could shoe the grass on the bridge" this a added a crackling effect to
the character. Then i added a second texture to the bg that made a burlap effect
to the bg. then i verlayed the entire thing with one of my favorite textures
that really brung eveything together. added in text and bamm! it was done ^_^.
THis is the exact procedure that i used. several several hours of non stop work.
I truly hope taht you enjoy my work... and if there is something you do not find to your liking and would like me to fix it for you. Then tell me and i will make a special copy for you ^_^. I enjoy my works and i enjoy making them for all my friends!

It's quite a neat design, I must say. However, in my eyes, there are a few discrepancies. The texture in the foreground seems to overwhelm a lot of the background and the scan, and it kind of gave way to the empty composition on top (I'm not too sure though). The whiteness of the umbrella seems a bit overwhelming, not to mention that it lacks in some detail. This is where it's recommended you come in and add some flavor to that umbrella! The font of the text seems off to me, like the design doesn't really fit. A more grunge-type looking text would fit better for both the signature and the phrase on the bottom left. The colors match well, and the design overall is unique.
like the darkish effect. looks cool. the texture is nice as well. like the birds as well. though the umbrella is really really bright and looks a little different then everything else but over all it still looks great. Nice Work!

Liked so much the texture you added on image and scan, it looks like an old paint and brings a sad feeling too, the colors are great... but I need agree to SilentMasamune about the text, you should replace it with a gruge-type... Think it will fit better, too.

Pretty neat on how you use the textures and the blending of the image to the bg itself. One problem is mostly the funny cross brush somewhere around the main character... seems too distracting plus the texture itself look a bit too much.... try overlaying some black grunge effects at the bottom of the grasses. ANyway keep it up mate! :P

Nice gritty texture effects, I like the way the texture helps maintain a smooth transition from light to dark from the top to the bottom. The walking in the mist feel of the wall sets a great mood.
pretty gritty, gives it a misty feel, the text could be better, but thats just my preference =)
