My first wall here at MT3 ^_^ Hello everyone! *waves*
I adore the time era of the Victorian/Gilded age in our history and I was moved when I saw this scan. So I wanted to
incorporate it with a background of that time. "Gilded" was a term given by Mark Twain about the time period
when many great fortunes were created and the way of life the wealth supported. My favorite place is that of Newport,
Rhode Island which houses many famous Gilded mansions of the wealthy (and filmed great movies like the "Great
Gatsby").
"The Marble House" is one of those mansions and which I chose my wall to be based on and so I like to give
credit to the Preservation Society of Newport County. As for the scan, I found here at MT.
As for the wall, I have made it a while ago, but decided to finally submit it in. I had to fix the scan a bit to fit the wall. And I gave the entire wall a brownish/gold hue with some texture (graininess) to offer an antique-feel to the atmosphere.

OMG, it's so beautiful! I can't believe I almost miss this one just because of that stupid friend/watchlist system. I just love wallpapers with this romantic/antique feeling. However, I've seen few when the feeling is as vivid as in this one. Really, an awesome job. Goes to faves! And... I'll have to fix that list problem. So please, don't be mad if I switch you from one list to the other. I'm still clumsy with this new Minitokyo. See ya!

I adore this! It has a nice sepia hue, that brings to mind old photographs without actually washing out the colors, and that dress! I love Victorian gowns.

very classic. quite different i must say... i mean from your usual style. it blends very well. at first glance, seems like a stock scan, but it is not. it is your wall. *thumbs up*
just an opinion, the "fireflies" are a bit too noticeable and dont fit in this antique-feel wall. -
