Well after scrapping my last project, I decided to go back to my principles of staying dark and eerie. Finding the image of the Major holding a kitten isn't exactly eerie, but overall I tried to aim for a calm and mysterious feel to it. I had to highlight certain parts of the image of the Major, and came close to vectoring the whole thing. But because I wanted to keep certain textures, I ended up with what you see here. The city is actually a stock image from the series itself, so everything but the water and sky is GITS authentic here ^^; I just added an "eerie" glow to it. Ugh I hope this makes up for the other loads of crap I did....
Yes the Kitty has a cybernetic arm ^^

nice wallpaper,
but the chara is lightened a bit strangely, because there is no source of light and he doesn't look like he would actually be there but like he would be standing infront of a picture. well the water doesn't well it's too dark too se it. and if that white parts in the sky are suposed to be lightenings, you didn't do that well. -

well not bad, some pixelised areas, maybe because of the colors. the sky doesn't feet the buildings, you have a big pb with . I mean it's not real how can you see some buildings that should not as the ones just behind? ;)

I see how you meant to work with shadow to make it look dark. That concept is apparent and noted. I woudn' worry too much about what is said about improvement. When it's all explained it becomes understood. The wallpaper makes sense. In a way it reminds me of the darkness(art effects) of silent hill, without the creepy atmoshpere.
