Hya people! :D
Lookie..I have made something new...It took me quite a while to make it but i love how it endded up..
~History~
The water i made myself and not with some tutorial that can be found, all by brushes and smudging. The golden pearls gave me a headache,i had to to color them one by one.
Anyway..as soon as i saw this scan i knew i had to do it. :)

Enjoy people,i know i did by making it!
See ya! ;)

Hey this scan is one of the best scans of Cowboy bebop :) you really know how to choose the best scans to vector them ;)
well I've downloaded the vector and checked it and I can say that you really did an outstanding job here Lenne! the edges and the lines are well cleaned and vectored! I give 10/10 for the extraction! and I really don't see any glitch :)
you really managed to make a very beautiful and well done vector and I am sure that later on you're gonna make a supreb wallie with it ;)
you really deserve a favorite :)
    keep up the great work!

I don't understand much about vectors but this looks very nice

Simply put, this is fantastic. The rivulets of water that are trickling down her body are amazingly well executed. Being able to see mages like this one is the best reason join minitokyo. Thank you for sharing your hard work.

  8. Delgados Nov 03, 2005

The style is different from what you usaully see on this site
it realy good the back ground make a good contras to the image of Fay.

  9. Elves Nov 03, 2005

That is so awesome. So nice of work making the water realistic and the chain. I'm basing this off the anime, but I don't think her hair was quite so blue. Maybe it's the rest of the blue in the vector that makes me think that. Anyway, this is a really cool vector and I'm sure all the fanboys on MT love you right now! ;) Sweet work.

    That is a vector? riiiiight.

You said you used brushes and a smudge tool. what the...?

If that is a vector, prove it by enlarging that image to a huge size (let's say 3000px height for example). Then I'll believe it is one.

Just to clear one thing straight:

CGING and VECTORING is NOT the same thing. Vectors are shapes calculated with bezier curves, which are obtained by equations. This means that a vector can be resized and enlarged without losing quality. Photoshop DOES NOT use bezier curves, in fact, Photoshop uses RASTERS. Though you can still apply vector masks in photoshop, the fact that you used a smudge tool and brushes means that the image has been RASTERIZED, turning it into a CGED work and not into a vector.

I hope it's clear for you.

That's just awesome Lenne, I love how Faye Valentine is well portrayed in the vector as well. Kudos to ya :)

  18. SilentMasamune Nov 04, 2005

It's true that this is a CG work since it was clarified by ShiNN, but you did very nicely on it. Your CG and vector work really do bring out the essence of the image being viewed with the details and the clean colors. ^_^

I this work is a vector, it's a wonderful work my friend...congratulations ! I don't like the background, beacuse I think that is a very elegant character, I would something temperate or different.

  20. Yumi-Chan Nov 04, 2005

wth! a vector!? through the thumbnail, it looked like some scan u used XD
you're great, i've no idea how you did those water drops. and those golden beads on her legs too. you're amazing, you can really blend the colours/shade/lighting together.
    good job!

  21. enchantressinthedark Nov 04, 2005

Wow! nice job at vectoring! I really admire those with great vectoring skills..cause I don't know how to vector! Anyways, keep up the good work!

Some of the colours there are fantastic X3 Yes - I have to say I totally loooove the chainbead thing hahah.

Correct me if I am wrong, but aren't all the images in the 'vector' gallery not true vectors? In order to upload to MT, it has to be in jpeg format. Jpegs are bitmaps and therefore not a true vector image since the picture is based on pixel coloration and not on mathematical formulae. My point is this: lighten up a little, ShiNN. The world won't come to a screeching halt because someone called this a vector image. There's no need to get confrontational by implying Lenne is lying by asking her to prove it by enlarging the image. Frankly speaking, it would be a waste of time to follow your diections anyway since if she showed a 3000px image to you that wouldn't be a real vector either. You can't measure the dimension of a vector in untis of pixels since, by definition, vectors don't have pixels.

I hope it's clear for you, too, ShiNN.

I know I have already said how wonderful this image is but I just want to thank Lenne again for sharing such a lovely work with the MT community.

Edit: Shinn did not call Lenne a liar, simply implied it so I changed my comment to reflect the difference.

Faye looks really great. The vector is actually already quite good. The angle makes it better :D
