Throughout the modern history of dynamic dark anime a series of priests and various religious figures have been created in the name of portraying a powerful point. Genjo Sanzo, Able Nightroad....and yes, even here in Hellsing we have the much despised and very Catholic Enrico Maxwell! The Solid & ETC illustration team had it coming when this portrait was released into the public. And during the Hellsing-mania at UV Studios, we just couldn't help but get our hands all over him...erm....yes...that's right. ;)
With his unbuttoned trousers and hint of skin. That irritatingly cruel smirk and golden crucifix simply couldn't save him from attaining the black angel's wings that crown his shoulders. A vibrant riot of colour and texture as this piece blends natural elements and minor decay. Father Maxwell, Director of Special Section Thirteen: Iscariot is definitely more dangerous than rock n' roll!
This artwork was composed using minor CG SFX, Image Masking and Multi Layer Brush work.

anyways, this wallie is so cool!!! XD i like the bg you made. the effects used are really attractive + the colors of the wall rox!! XD the scan used fits the bg too^^

Creepy yet so awesome, I actually cosplayed Maxwell for Halloween. Wonderful wall, Ultra, I just hope that in the new Anime that they actually give him a big part like they did in the Manga.

You did a very nice job. I liked the texturing and colour choice of the background. I had seen it previously on the Solid page, but it was very small. I am wondering why you put his image dead center and not a little more to the right, regaurdless the red colour is very flattering against the pale skin/hair tones.
