The wallpaper version of my WAR Round 2 wall.
I've always wanted to wall this image of Utena with breaking armor. When I see it, I think of the speech the Student
Council always say:
If a chick cannot break its shell, it will die before it is even born.
We are the chick. The World is our egg.
Smash the world's shell!
For the revolution of the world!
In that vein I decided to smash the image again as if it were shattered glass. (After a vector to reduce the amount of
colors on the image to 3 main tones an a small assortment of other tones highlighting the armor)
I say this is the wallpaper version because the version I submitted to the contest was the billboard version (large text
that must be read quickly and easily from a moving vehicle and get its point across almost instantly.) This wallpaper
version retools the text. "Shatter Expectations" was the tagline I came up with (considering just how bizarre
Utena is, you won't have anything left by the end) for a poster, but was rather unsuited for the wallpaper and I went
with my original title/theme, "Smash the World's Shell". Since wallpapers are meant to be seen up close and
personal, the text is smaller and in a more stylized layout.

EDIT: GEEZ, stupid jpeg and its hatred for red. I hate you jpeg! And your little dog too!

but i can hardly see the chara in there because of all the lines and the intensiv red colour

Pretty interesing conceptually, though I don't think I'll ever use it as a wallpaper. A great work to have in my collection, though.

The glass reminds me of "Society's Million Swords" which pierced Anthy. This is a really awesome wall :)
