Hurray! My first doujinshi submission!
This was done a few months ago and took me about one or two weeks to complete (with gaps in between).
The inspiration for this was from a manga where I saw some great illustrations of goddesses wearing these gorgeous
outfits. Ispired, I decided to draw a girl in a smiliar style clothing.
Drawing the outline was fairly simple and was done in a short amount of time. But I wasn't satisfied so I decided
to shade it. I used a HB pencil for the outline, 2B pencil for the hair, 3B pencil for the top part of the dress. Then I
made the mistake of using a SB pencil to shade the bottom of the dress and the sleeves. SB pencils are light and very hard. I had some trouble shading with that pencil and ended up making horrible
line marks everywhere. >.< Nevertheless, I think this piece has turned out very well. :)
This is my result.
(Image was slightly cleaned using photoshopCS, but I didn't do a very good job of it because I don't know how
to use photoshop very well. ^_^' )

Very smooth and well-calculated shading :) I like how the drawing overall is neat and clean.. You also paid attention to the details on her clothing and hair, which I thought was good. One thing that could probably be improved is perhaps the folds in the clothing. For example, the two folds that go around her waist concentrically are quite artificial, and some of the dark outlines you use in the middle of her sleeves - while in principle makes sense, and shows that you were thinking structurally - are a bit awkward. Still, she has a cute face and a cute outfit. ^^ With those skills I'm surprised you hadn't submitted doujins before..!

Awesome work with the shading I just had to say it :)
i just don't like the creases in her dress at the level of her chess.
Beside that, it's truly a great drawing.
Just need an awesome background with her now ;)

Nice drawing, Luce; the shading is pretty incredible, not to mention the overall detail of the dress. But I've gotta say, myfavorite part of this doujin is the face. It can be difficult to get the facial expression to match the rest of the drawing, but you did a good job with that in this drawing. Nicely done!
