For such a great series (Cooking Master Boy) it's such a shame that no one ever
makes graphics for it. The character was sized and vectored from a screenshot.
After that, I hit a wall with my first design and could not figure a way to make
it better. The solution? Start from scratch! I CG'd it all from scratch with the
help of some photographs, brushes, and tutorials. I even made a small takeout
box from paper (real boxes not easy to get here) and took my own digital picture
of it to get the shadowing and perspective right. I got lots of suggestions
regarding the blurring of the background and the softening on the character's
outline so to those that chipped in - thanks. I know some don't like the 2d vs
3d but just think of it as a pop-up 
Considering that I've never CG'd anything before, I think it turned out pretty unique and kind of funny. Mao in SD form is so cute! This one is going on my CMB fansite (http://tahq.com/cmb)!
