Okay, Fly With Me v. 2.0, since the first one was deleted. Why? Good question. So I apologize if you are seeing this one again.
Like I said before, I saw the movie Nausicaa of the Valley of the Wind, and I really enjoyed it, so I thought I would make a wallie of it, since there are very few here. :)
Anyway, on to the details of the wall itself.
Firstly, the background is not a stock photo. I made it with a program known as Terragen. <--- Click the linky to check out the program. I modifed it in Photoshop, with brightening and also using a color technique that I found on GoodTutorials and I also played with lighting to get it to look the way it is now. I also redid the sky and added the clouds and the birdies. ^_^ To view the background before modification, click the linky here ---> original background.
On the last wall there were several of you who mentioned that the scan was still grainy. Yes, it was. Well, I cleaned it a lot more this time and brightened it and used some light brushing to get rid of some of the grainyness. Anyway, I hope this one looks good enough to stay this time and that I explained everything well enough to be clear to the mods. Oh yes, I also reduced the number of butterflies this time too. There were too many before. >_<

wonderful job, angelkate! and the scan looks so much better and cleaner! it defintely matches your background quite well now! i really like the improvements you made to your wall, including the butterflies. but i'm sorry the first one was deleted... -_-

well I saw version one and it was really beautiful and version 2 even looks better ;)
i took a look on the original image and I must say you really improved it alot and made it look so fascinating!! and you managed to turn the realistic land scape to an anime one great job!!
the scans blends perfectly with the background and not to mention that the brushes you used are really fitting the concept so much!!!

I really like where you were going with this wall.. makes me want to stick out my arms like a little kid and pretend to fly around the room *does anyway....* "Whoosh" :d... The only thind I would change is use slightly fewer birds, when you duplicate the layer set it to soft light instead of overlay (you can do a lot of different settings that provide different looks, but I think that overlay makes the colors a little too neon) and add texture to the butterfly layer (use transparency on setting after putting the butterflies down and use a texture brush, your an old hand at this, I know :D ), other than those three little things I really like this wall.

thanks you for the program info...now i dont ahve to make background from scratch now...it is killing my A...really bad...lol...Nausicca...it IS a good movie...watch it when i was like...7...now i still like it ...I have rewatched it many times...and still never get tire of it...it is a good movie...Myazaki rocks....!!

Nice wall of Nausicaa! The scenery in the backgrouns is nice and I also very much like this particular scan of her but my only grudge is that her face looks too yellow. :P
