This wallpaper is for the Card Captor Sakura Contest at Sakura Group. Good Luck to all the other contestants ^.^
Barely have time to make any wallpapers nowadays with school and stuff. This wallpaper took really long since I could only work on it when I have some time from school, which is not very much so I'm really happy that they extended the deadline because I would have had to submitted it halfway done.
The extractions still took some time even though I picked an easy scan to clean. But I have always loved this picture of Sakura because she looks so cute here. The background was really fun to make because it was the first time in a long time that I did an abstract background. I did some light grudge using texture from Tama-Neko's site, Desktop Anime. Probably can't see much of the background but it has some mixed tech in it and there is about 10 layers that are mixed in there. Then I added some swirls and glow to them, used the glitter brush from nat's site, Ningen.
Can't really say this is my best wallpaper because it's not but I can say that I put a lot of effort in to it because I worked on it to make sure it's at least to my liking.
Okay, I went through 17 pages in the Card Captor Sakura section to find this scan again but thanks so much yurikohime for providing it!
Comments, suggestions etc, are all greatly appreciated!

this wall is pretty well planned out. the scan quality is really clean. nice choice to go for a scan with the thicker outlines, its more defined.
color scheme matches well with sakura as well. pink accents in the bg work well with the pink in the wand.
lol the circles are going crazy! XD maybe a variation of brightness between them ie some brighter than others might work well.
best part of this wall is that slight texture in the bg you did. gives it that great added effect.nice stuff ^^

waa~ the bg effects r so pretty~ >w< I really love the colour scheme n the the sakura scan u chose matches overall ~ the light textures r very pretty n adds a neat touch .. simple font works the best here ~ agree with kai about the circles but u've done a wonderful work here ne~ :3 my first fav 4 the past 7 days .. ^_^;;

Well, it is weird to see Sakura in a techy-ish looking wallpaper, but you get over that very quickly and see just how well evreything is this wallpaper goes together. Good luck with the contest.

luv the texture and the blocks/grids on your background! the sparklies and swirlies add a nice magical feel to your wall, and i luv the color choices of your background because they compliment sakura quite nicely! :D
