When I first saw this image, I thought it was one of the most impossibly beautiful things I have ever seen. And I knew someday that if no one walled this scan, then I would. This wallpaper is dedicated to Jasmine, since I know she loves this image so much. Working on this wallpaper with a cinnamon apple candle burning in the background was just heavenly. By the way people, those are poinsettias, not roses.
I tried to recreate the background as close to the original image as possible. (Though if someone has a scan of lace closer to the original, please send it to me!) Instead of using the pen tool to extract the girl, I erased the background so the edges would be soft. And as you can probably tell, I spent a lot more time trying to harmonize the text into the wallpaper. I tell you it certainly took a lot of willpower not to put wings on the girl... though I eventually did just to see what they looked like. And thanks goes out to Rikimaru-jp, my "number one fan," for supporting me. :)

omigosh...this wall is truly stunning! you did a flawless job in recreating and extending the background from the original scan!! and it must've been a pain to ensure that the lace would look continuous! your effort to blend and match the text with your wall was absolutely worth it because the text really perfects the look of your wall... :D

Ah yes, this image is nothing but impressive and lovely. The first time I saw it was around Christmas eve, but got lost when I had to format the computer and always wondered when it would see it again, and here I have it. Beautiful, just like the original. I like the fact that it is big to fit as a wallpaper without looking crappy, extra points for that. ;)
Very impressive, and this is an amazing job you have done here. Thank you so much for doing this wallpaper (because of the image =P).

Beautiful!! I don't usually like girls in pink pictures, but if there must be an exception this is it! Thanx a lot for sharing this, it's wonderful, I love it , everything is so sweet and the smooth contrast between the warm pink-reddish background + flowers + ribbon and the cold lila hair + dress and green leaves make the whole pic balanced, great harmony, beautiful drawing... gorgeus!

woowwowow! another great wall made by lunaregina... so pretty! the background is really really really awesome! i saw the original scan.. and it's really hard to wall it.. at least to me.. t_t.. but yah.. the red poinsettias look so nice and they suit the character very well! colours are chosen very well! and the effects are really nice! especailly on those shinning things.. (snow?)
the text is really nice and neat! i like the font of it and it fits nicely with the wall! it looks like it's there already with the original scan.. XD

Ummmm... aside from this being a lovely wall (my congratulations on keeping it so close to the original, since you state that was your intent), I have a question: Now although I realise most people wouldn't know they were poinsettias, would anyone really think they were roses? They look nothing like any breed of rose. There is one type of flower other than poinsettia they remind me of, but I can't remember the name. I only really know via my mother, so my knowledge isn't that deep. But roses? They're nothing alike...
Sorry about the ranty tone of this... it's not meant as a personal attack, just a question. Oh & thanks for the name... although I recognise the flower, I'd forgotten it's name.
