Well, the stick seems like it should be longer (I mean, she was supposed to use it as help in walking, right?)... and
her face could use a little more work.
But except that it's a really good pic. I especially like the way you did the bottom of her dress and the hair. The
lamp seems a bit simple, but that's okay.

I'm so jelous XD I'm also learning to color so I know it is kind of complicate to start.
But I think you did a very nice work ^^ The girl is nicely done, proportions are fine and I like her expression, she seems determined and I like the style of her hair too!^^
The coloring is fine too, it just need a bit more shades and lights, and a bit more color on her hair ;) but it is a nice job to start, hope I can do something as good on my first attempt XP I like the effect on the light ;)
The only think I don't understand is the use of the stick :x

It's a fighting stick! But really, I don't like it. It looks too straight or something. And i wanted it have some ornaments on it, but i couldn't think of anything good. And i would have liked some more color in her hair too...
