"I'd always wanted to make a Fushigi Yuugi wallpaper, but I'd never been able to find the inspiration. That is, until one day when I was flicking through my archives of volume 17 scans and I found this nice, subtely vague image of Tasuki from the imfamous "Inn" scene. Then I found a wonderful Blade of the Immortal image, and the idea for this wallpaper hit me."

Was amused to find a readme.txt in the old zip for this wallpaper XD. Ah... but my words back then pretty much sum up this wallpaper. To date, it still is my most fondly remembered wallpaper. I remember Hageshiku rated it as one of my top efforts of Deskmod when I submitted it back in 2001 (Or near enough. I've forgotten the exact dates of my wallpapers)

It's barely an anime wallpaper, with just that tiny sliver of an image of Tasuki's face. But... I think that's what I like about it. It's not cluttered; it's just a subtle collage of images and words. One of my best blend works, probably. I still remain fond of its subject matter after all these years too ;P. The text is from Tasuki's image song from the OAV's. No brushes were used for this either~ I didn't even know custom brushes existed when I made this xD;... (Back when I only had Photoshop 4). All of it was just done with blending the images together.

Again, apologies for any loss in quality. Barely any of the PSD's for my wallpapers survive, but I think the original was saved at a pretty high quality anyway.

This is really inspired me to write more poetry, and now I can implement more of it in with my own photoshop abstract art. What an excellent and inspiring piece. Thank so much Dev-chan!

Wow... incredible style *smiles* a little too disturbing for me to use personally (I get scared easily) but great conception and execution. Although just because there's so much white space in the background, I'd suggest adding a tiny bit of texture/grunge to the background the break up the expanse. And I wish that the lines of poetry were more readable...

this is an exellent wallpaper. its just a shame that this one may go relativly un-noticed because this site is just one big popularity contest, and not based on actual skill.

ou... very simple and clean! I like the organization and the elegant simplicity... definitely a +fav from me. thank you!!
