This wallpaper was done back in July 2003 for a contest held at http://www.ningen.tk
The rule was that we had to use the given image and work with it and that can be found Here
I chose Reika as I thought that was the most challenging one to do out of all the other characters. I redrew her so I can edit her the way I wanted to. Drew a hand for her and the rest of her dress too that was covered by Haruka. Also, I wasn't trying to create a wallpaper full of effects back than as pretty much all the submissions were heavily based on effects.
Most of the things were done in Painter, the glowing feathers were done in Illustrator and lastly composited everything inside Photoshop.
End result for this wallpaper was:
3rd rank for top 5 popularity vote. (opens to everyone for voting)
2nd rank for top 10 judge vote. (1 judge decides all)
