To everyone on my friendslist, sorry for the long wallpaper hiatus. I have been busy working on my portfolio/resume and am now trying to find a job. Wish me luck!
Original image is by Hikaru Mizusawa which I personally scanned from her book Sevenfold. *points to the tears in her eyes* I spent a lot of time trying to make the tears look natural so don't overlook them! This was my first wallpaper in quite awhile that didn't involve any brushes or filters. The texture is a piece of granite I scanned. It's a grim wallpaper, yes, but that's how it evolved. ^^; Please see the full view! PM me if you want this wallpaper in 1600 x 1200.

I love the "prison cell" feel of the backround and the roses add a beatuiful suttle touch of color to the grey and black backround. Nice contrast. -

Lunaregina, oh this wallie is really expressive :) I like that in you that all your works are very meaningful and you pick the right character for the right background! And in this case you chose the right girl for the right background ;)
The background is professionally because the flagstones are so realistic and perfectly done! And the textures are great :) not to mention that the chains are blended nicely along with the background and fits greatly within the flagstones!!!
The roses are the best part of the background because they suits it so much and I really like how you made them blend on the floor they are well displayed and the angles of their shadows are correct you really make everything logically that's awesome!!! And last but not least the extraction of this character was flawlessly done!
I really love this wallie and guess what Lunar I'm gonna put it in my desktop background because it rocks!!!

and it's amazing you didn't use any brushes or filters!
i also luv the roses because it offers a stark contrast to your black background and the mood of your wall. i also like the very subtle etched in phrase, "trusted you."

Really nice detail on the roses. I love the droplets in the ground, very subtle, but add interest. (are those the tears?) This is so sad.
The scribbling on the tiles is also a pretty nice touch. I like all the small details like this in the wallpaper, you can stare at it for a while and keep finding stuff.
