nicey~ great composition
I like the contrast the black trees make next to the other plain colors. Nice sharp outlines, the very dark shadowing
reminds me of american comics for some reason~
Anyways, it's a very nice work again, tama-san. It's always nice to see Kino walls from you n_n

I was flipping through my Kino artbook in order to grab some scans of Shizu and Riku when I saw this image. Originally
the color illustration for the frontispiece in novel 4, the style of most of Kuroboshi's color illustrations for the
first 5 novels is an almost vector-style, flat image with bold colors. I liked the flatness which would translate neatly
to vectors. Plus, the "all shadows are a single shade of black" reminded me of my Indelible Sin (FMA)
wallpaper from a while ago. Add the quirky perspective (I love quirky perspective) of being almost nearly overhead and
you have me sold for a wallpaper.
The neat thing about the frontispiece sections of the Kino novels is that they're very short (1-2 pages max) that even
someone as illiterate as I in Japanese can translate! (Along with about 3 dictionaries worth of help...) So without
further ado, the translation of this chapter:
Country with a Statue -- Angel?
Kino no Tabi, novel 4, chapter 1 (translated by Tama-Neko)
One time, a traveler came to a small country within a valley.
The young traveler came riding a motorrad, looking around amusedly at the abundant, beautiful farmlands and the
narrow streets of the historical old-town. Then, they stopped in front of a wooden statue in the plaza.
The statue resembled a simple person, holding a long pole in one hand. Underfoot, there was some sort of unknown
animal.
The young traveler asked, "What is that?"
A resident smiled and answered, "This is a statue of an angel that fell from the sky to save this land a long
time ago. People were suffering under the twenty-two devils, but with a shake of its stick, it eliminated them and
restored this country to peace. Then, it returned to the sky."
"Angel? That fell from the sky? What is that?" the motorrad asked.
"A fairy tale. It's a legend from this country..."

Its very hard to find really good images of Shizu and Riku but hey at least you pulled the whole design and omposition really well, almost like a memory fade for a fellow traveler. Lovely vectors and sets the emotion really well...Beauitful job as always Tama! :P

As usual, beautiful vectoring work. :) Its an interesting image too, with the statue looking nothing like the token 'angel'. :)
