This wallpaper is my official entry for the war contest.
The theme for this individual round is: infatuation
1 : to cause to be foolish : deprive of sound judgment
2 : to inspire with a foolish or extravagant love or admiration
what I got was something like...crazy love......and....for my wallpaper I've gone for some foolish love.

Range murata or Nana
I've chosen for a scan of Range Murata, cause I like his kinda style and it's really suiteable for a
infatuation wallpaper.
The background story of this wall is:
Follows mythes and stories, there was a chair that would keep a lovely couple for always togheter, so the guy and the
girl searched for it. After some horrible accident the guy and the girl both died, but...the girl turned to an angel and
gained a place in heaven, the guy.......came in to the land of death. they would never see eachother again, but they
still want to see eachother, so the girl sacrificed her beatiful wing to see the guy and the guy has sacrificed his skin
and freedom of movement, he becomes petrified, but he didn't turn in stone....it was some special material that
only exist in the land of death. Both left their territories and was sended to another dimension on "the
chair". they'll stay with eachother forever. Once you sit on the chair......there is no way back.
The wallpaper is giving a scene of both sitting on the chair and the girl has some lights around her to make sure she
comes from heaven while the bg gives you a messed up mood. the left bg portraits the land of death and the guy is
sitting there and there is a slightly red light, that says his spirit has raised from the land of death to his body.
I made a contrast wallpaper, that makes it clear that the love was impossible to match eachother, but I've also
left some small parts that are matching eachother. that stands for their love, that would definitely match if they like
eachother for always. I tried to use fill instead of stroking the lines in the vector, cause I want to try it out for
the first time and I'm pretty satisfied with that. I've also simplefied the scan abit with the vector, less
detail and stuff...
it was difficult for me to come up with something, my brains where totally blanc and I didn't had much time. so I tried to grunge some stuff.....cause I also want to try something new.
Some stuff i've used comes from DA, thanks to tama-neko for the textures and the brushes.
I've also used some grunge brushes I've found on Deviantart.

The grunge wallpaper looks wonderful. The vector of the image is greatly done. And the wallpaper looks like Heaven and Hell compare to the background and characteristic of the image, I like it! xD

ahh what a wonderful story.. ;___; I love mythes.. XD you did a great work on the bg.. the two sides contast quite well with eachother.. mhmm.. but I kinda don't like the yellow lights.. they look too normal.. and I would also put more work into the letters.. you could try to put some effects onto them.. =D

So you are entering the contest as well...I see...who sponse for this anyway...?? anyway...nice divison I see...to me...the ring or halo is a bit hard...maybe soften it more to make it looks like it is glowing...the concept is totally fine...and I think it rocks...nice story though...war can be a pain in the A...we all know it...but the angel and death...or heaven and the hell...yeah...that is good idea...I suppose this is grunge as well...why is everyone doing grunge...?? The hell is pretty hell like...but the side of the angel is abit gloomy....but then again...she lost her wings so that is....the yellow rain is abit stange...kind of like that halo...too hard...it will be better if some of the rain overlay her...since u only overlay the top...not the bottom part of it...but overall...your wall is better than mine anyway...lol...

Woww~ What a story. It's both lovely and creepy. The idea for infatuation turned out really well and that they had such a need to be together forever. I like the bg for the guy which really has a abstract feel of fire and suffering. The girl's bg is not my fav for her but the coloring really matches. The textures were used well. Really nice work!

hmm...I must say an interesting back story. Is it completely based on an actual myth?
It's a good interpretation for the word. The guy's half looks very dark and hellish. You brought that out really well. I would've thought that the angel's side would be a bit brighter though?
Overall, I think it's a fitting concept from what I understand of the word.

I'm finding the little stories people add to thier walls for w.a.r. very interesting. Yours however has got to be one the better ones. I feel that you have executed the story you were telling quite well. Although they seem happy, you can clearly see that the work to get to the point they are at has taken a toll upon both of them.
The darkness on the demonic side fits well with your "burned" character and gives a sense of doom to the whole thing. While the angelic side is lighter, it too looks as though it has a gloomy outlook on the whole situation. Although, it would seem as though they actually love each other and it isn't a mere infatuation ... but if it is an infatutation being stuck in that chiar for eternity would really suck XD .

Oh wowies, this is definately a really unique wallpaper. I really like the stroy behind it and the wallpaper fits into it very nicely. Your vector of the scan looks really awesome and the lines are very smooth. The contrast between Heaven and the Land of the Dead is really nicely done, especially the Land of the Dead. Ooh.. nice wallpaper! *__* The background is really nice. Texture = awesome. xD I would have blended the two sides a little better in the middle, though. Extraction's clean, so excellent job on that. The concept.. waaah, I so love it, and the text fits in so extremely well. :3 Great wallpaper, MeteorCloud-kun~ ^^;;

Quite the different wall for you MC with the duel theme and contrasting halves of the wall. Each respective half really suits the characters well. I wish you could see outline for the male's limbs cause he looks like one big solid thing. Also would've been better had you done without the texture over the two, makes them look a bit odd. Aside from those 2 issues this is a quality submission for w.a.r. Good luck on it :)
