Infatuation
NOUN:
1. A foolish, unreasoning, or extravagant passion or attraction. See Synonyms at love.
2. An object of extravagant, short-lived passion.
A deep word indeed for a theme, it is very hard to be understood at firt >.<â€
I decided to go with the idea of infatuation in term of "short-lived passion"
The choice for scan was rather tough, I was gonna do Nana after being inspired by Crapmonster’ work however after
a long self-debate I decided to stick with my Fav Anime artist - Range Murata,
The subject is a common girl dressed in high school student.
I pick the subject to represent stereotype of teenagers during that certain period.
Teenagers filled with short lived passion towards their obsession.
The only time they stop was when they realized whether it is not probable
Therefore I decided to show this motion in simplified geometrical abstraction.
Using circles to create bursting movement (just like soft drink, it dies down after a while ^_^ )
Arrows was also used to emphasized the movement .
I used the butterflies (rather hidden) because of the short lives they have (3days on average), it kinda represents
temporary thing for me.
The color blue (or bluish) was chosen because it’s BLUE it gives sense of “regret†or something for
me. ^_^
All was vectored , texturised
I try to keep as simple as possible (for SIMPLEISM) but then again I got carried away.

loll, I'm not sure i got everything about the infatuation thing ^_^' oh well, the wall is nice, i love the scan... the bg is a bit plain... as for the butterflies, lucky you said there were some, coz' i never would have seen them >.< love the blue colour too good job!

The vector work, is speechless, and is done so very well. The background, effects and text is wonderful as well. The wall has a nice simple but good feel to it. Over all great work. Awesome work.

Dude, that is seriously a deep and impressive concept as to why you chose to do the wall this way, and it reflects every word you said sufficiently. First off, the bg-at first glance, it looks simple, but if you click on the thumbnail you can see how intricate and detalied it really is. The lighting, the stone gray colour, the butterflies and the circles make up the better part of the representation of Infautation you were aiming for dead on. Not only that, the girl-whom is very cute and alluring-as well as the entire wall are excellently vectored and textured to a degree that it looks as though it were done by a professional artist (though I wouldn't put that past you seeing how skilled you are). An astounishing piece of work you have created, Cali, I love it very much ^uu^ .

Hmm..the only word I can think of about this wall is random. Theres like random letters in bubbles with some kind of brush in the background. Very creative and unique. Good luck on WAR ^^

Sometimes simplicity is the way to go in a wallpaper, nothing uber flashy, and you did a great job doing that in this piece.
