I have never ever seen this series before. I just loved this image and thought I should challenge myself with it.
Well, it defin was a challenge. I saved it as a psd file so that when I see things I want to change or fix I can do that. I'm making this out to be a bigger wall project of mine.
Anyway, I tried to get the ocean and stuff to not seem as real as it did at first. Making things look more cartoony is a little bit hard.
I did not use any stock photos if you are thinkin that. This is all plain hard work and messing around. ^^;;
I got the dark (black) idea from the original image. It made the girl stick out like a sore thumb though, so I highlighted her a bit to look a little bit of a darker bluish color, then I put some fade on her to make it seem like it was a foggy night and you can only see it around her because she is glowing ever so slightly with the small glowing orbs around her and the sparkles.
As for the flower petals, that is coming from her head. The image had a lot more because she was under some sort of flower, water thing, so I tried to get rid of most of them to make it seem like they could be falling from her hair.
Hum yeah... this took me a long time. I think there are so many things for me to fix. Anyway if you are a waller and can give me some great tips on how to make this look better, I sure would appriciate it ^^
