So here is my second submission to MT. ^^ These three are Meroko, Mitsuki, and Takuto from Full Moon wo Sagashite. Though I wanted to work on it just a bit more before submitting, I'm still quite happy with how it turned out. So I think I'll leave it as is. Oh I forgot to write in a date - lets say spring/summer 2005.
I drew this with my little sister in mind - she was the one who introduced me to Full Moon wo Sagashite and convinced me that the series was not as retarded as it may sound at a glance. ^^ The original drawing is going to go to her.
You may notice that Meroko and Takuto's appearance is a bit different. I don't want to actively spoil anything, so I'll just say that I was slightly hesitant about submitting this one because for those who didn't watch the series, it might act as spoilers.
Since everyone is obsessed with free-hand drawings, I'll explain how I drew this. Yes, this is referenced from many different points in the anime. For those of you who draw existing anime characters, you know that unless you have the artist's style memorized, its almost impossible to get the right look. I wanted to mostly stay true to the characters' appearance in the anime, so I looked up things like Meroko's outfit (there was no way I would remember what it looked like), Mitsuki's height in relation to the other two, Takuto's eyes, etc.
As for the medium, I used a pencil and a black ballpoint ink pen - yes I know very primitive.

I knew it :P You really know how to draw. Girl you've got some real talent there. And more importantly you are not copying from real drawings. Very good work. Your sketching and shading technique is trully amazing. Characters are very detailed, well proportioned. And most importantly, recognizable at the first glance XD

I love it. Its incredible. Your shading and pencil work it just some thing you dont see ever day. Keep making more of them. I WONT TO SEE more. But if its too much work thats ok. You don’t have to do it.

Ooo~ This is so pretty and totally love it. I wished the ending didn't just abruptly end like that but it was cute. Meroko definitely deserve to be an angel. *nod nod* Also, Takuto looks goos too. I like him when he's human. XD Mitsuki in the middle is really reminiscent of the final episode. The proportions are good and the shaing was well done as well. Mitsuki feels a lil smaller in comparison to the other two, but it still looks good. A very awesome drawing!

Ahh! Omg that's good too! I love Full Moon sooo much, the manga's really goood too, have you read it? Meroko looks really nice in this pic, but for some reason I think Takuto looks a lil like Ranma (:| Is it just me?) I think it's just 'cause I like him better with his hat on, although I know he dosn't have it at that point..
