Once again, I'm submitting a wallpaper! And this one is definitely worth taking a look
at, so download it to full size!

The scan was submitted here at MT by DaveTheInsane, and can be found here.

Anyway, this wallpaper took me a few months to finish (I can't actually remember when I started it), I spent hours on it. A lot of those hours were spent messing around, and staring at the screen trying to figure out what to do. I thought about putting some planets in the sky, but planets are so overused. So I settled on using birds, which are also overused... but hey, so are clouds. :)

I painted the building, using the original picture the girl was in as a reference. That's what made this wallpaper take so long, painting that stupid building... It took me forever to get it right. But it was definitely worth it!

I hope the text doesn't sound stupid, I couldn't decide on what to put... meh, whatever. It never matters what the text says.

So yeah, I hope you guys all like this. Please comment!

What can I say? This is another work from you that I really like. This one is a particulary good scenic wall (one of my favs). You used really interesting perspective, hard to work with probably but you used it well. I like the overall soothing and calm feeling this work creates. And you are right in saying that planets are generally overused (the same goes for sea :P ), birds fit this much better. What else? Great choice of scan. Good title. Definitely goes to my favs :)

Wow great wall. As Jasmine said, looks like you used a difficult perspetive and made it work quite well. I like your choice in putting bird as they really seem to add to the calm feeling of this wall. I like how you put the text so that it matched the perspective as well. Good work on the trees and the sea, and the sky is pretty nice too. Having a hard time finding words that do justice to this wall so I'll end this comment now. Excellent job! I'll be putting this in my favorites for sure.

    intresting perspective.... @_@ crooked...
not that fond of it but its a very well done wall.
That building looks great for one, very realistic details.
The trees look a lil dull, maybe a more vibrant green would've been better
    and the water in the bg is too flat ^^;
The birds at the top seem to be flying horizontal but if you did a normal perspective,
they'd be flying downwards which is kinda unusal.
The sky looks great though , nice work on the sun rays and
the overall texture of the wall is good.
    Very well done indeed ^^

Nice wall, same one as toxictea's if am not wrong,... but yours is less colorful XD and the sea ended up quite weird-ly, maybe put clouds at the horizon >_<
i think this wall is nice ^^ and the idea and concept is good ;) keep up the good work ^^

Yeah planets are waaay overused, plus they are that realistic, so I'm glad you stuck with just the birds. :) I think it's awesome that you painted the building, I don't have close to the tallent that would require. >_> I'm sure it took a long time but I think it was worth it! I also like the placement of the text. You're kind of right that it doesn't really matter what the text says as long as the placement of it is good. XD Overall definately a fav for me!

I really like the subtle texture in your wall especially on the building it looks nice.
I think you did a great job with the building, if you all paint it, it looks almost like the original... even better :)
And the subtle (again) ray of light gives just a nice touch to your sky that looks great.
Yeah good idea to don't do planets... I can't see planets anymore XD
But I think the birds are less overused then planets, I still like them :)
The only critic I would do is with the text, I would have seen something more in the blue theme like the water and bigger just to take a bit more place, cause this part looks a bit empty.

Overall, I think you did a nice job and it really looks nicer in full view :)

Gorgeous wallpaper. But I find that the water looks very unreal compared to the rest of the wallpaper. I think the texts works out quite fine. Nicely painted building. Keep up the great work!
