amazing vector extremly good work and it ties in well with the background too. A great choice of colours. It has the apocalyptic feeling to it :D Im guessing this was originally for the villiany contest hehehehe. Its now up on my desktop getting me pumped for w.a.r

This is really awesome!!! Your right though, the thumbnail makes it look like ablotchy background, but I love the effect with the spikes and scratchy background! And her handy is especially freaky!

Oh wow... this so nice... and I think it still works perfectly for the UA Contest... I have an idea for my own entry with one of my favorite villains. Actually my idea probab,y would have also worked for the "moment" contest as well... I just need to make sure I have all the proper pictures to vector!

My little categorizing brain slaps this into the 'simpleism' type; honestly, I love the creepy feeling I get from this..the background goes with her expression. Sure, I agree with Misa, the bottom left could`ve used something, but for the life of me I cant think of what that wouldnt destroy the feeling conveyed.

Done Amazingly.
Although pretty simple setup, it all seems to work together well.
The Vector on her lower body was done extremely well, you had me wondering where the scan was from until I took another look at it.
The only way you would have known how to shape her body is if you watch Full Metal Alchemist and had some good source images to go by.
All in all this wall is awesome.

Scan :

Good choice on Lust for the villainy theme ^^ Especially since you chose a scan in which she has such an arrogant expression =) And you've got great vectoring skills! Only thing is, don't hide what you can do! I can see that you've put a lot of effort into properly vectoring the rest of Lust, but it's all hidden in a mass of black! Be bold with your work, sure, do your best to hide imperfections, but unless you show everyone what you can do, it's much harder for people to give you points to improve on XXD

Choice of colour :

Red is good, especially since you've modified the scan to reflect the red in her hair, or you chose it because of her hair... [I haven't seen the original, so I can't tell]... But still, either way, it's a good choice! Maybe you could have lowered the intensity of the red, because I think it's a bit too bright, especially if you're aiming for a blood kind of look [blood's usually a darker shade of red, closer to burgundy]... And the use of the pink lines kind of clashes with the red =S But in a way, that shade and brightness for the red reflects a bit of your excitement, so don't worry about what I say too much ^^

Background in general :

The scratches are an interesting effect, but I think you could have increased the dramatic effect of them by varying thicknesses, and maybe using them more sporadically, rather than just putting them everywhere.

I know you said, "the thumbnail. makes it look so blotchy", because it does, but that's not a proper excuse in my opinion, because it's usually when it's in a thumbnail form that you notice balance issues and you get a general idea of the wall. And, you could have probably reduced the blotchiness by reducing the amount of black mixing with the red... I mean, it looks interesting, but once you do it too much in the same wall, it looks like you've just cloned areas, or just had no idea how to do it otherwise. To create a bit of interest, you should vary the blotchy areas, make wider blotches in places, maker closer ones in others... Everyone can see that you know how to use that effect, now we want to see you use it as a complement to your wall, not as just another way of doing a quick background =)

Also, the cityscape has become a bit of a typical theme with UA walls, from what I've noticed. They look good, when you can pull them off, BUT if everyone's doing them, why bother? You don't want to join the ranks of monotony, you want your walls to scream "Look at me, I've got a great scan, I've got a great background, I've got a great wall!" ^^; So, while the black city outline is easy, just try some other things. And, don't be afraid for people to see the city outline, don't just cover it with a slightly transparent black shadow, vary the amount of black, vary the places where it occurs... Variety is the spice of life! XD

Text:

Good choice of text colour, since it stands out, and matches with Lust's skin colour =) I'm not sure how I feel about the font itself. The capitals are nice for the dramatic effect, but the font doesn't seem to inspire anything. I agree with Misa when she says that there should be something in the bottom left... But, you could have compensated for that if you'd made the font larger by a bit, and moved it to say, the middle of the black section at the bottom. Placing it in the top part of the black section draws attention there, because of your choice in colour... So moving it down should hopefully help fill up the emptiness of the space.

Overall :

I think this is a good wall, there are definite improvements needed, but I also know that you're busy with W.A.R. and maybe this was a bit rushed to get it in before W.A.R. started... And also, the Villainy theme is a tough one to represent ^^; And I also realise that these competitions are to help you improve your style, technique and ideas... So I shouldn't be expecting perfection... Anyway, I hope that my comments were useful... If I said anything overly mean, you can uh, go flame my stuff... XD

Really, really cool. It's a fire-ish glow/reflection on her, awesome. It's so simple but I love the background. Haven't seen many Lust wallpapers but this one is definately a nice one. :3

Actually, I don't know what to say about your work, sometimes it's so good it leaves me speechless! But for some reason, the left lower side is a little too empty and maybe you might wanna add some more faded typos? But yeah ha, this is quite nice for a war spirit. But it's over now. ^^

Good job on the vectoring, it's clean and nice.
The background effect is a bit repetitive, but I really like the texture and the look of it overall.
And the black part don't mind me, it just emphasizes the red part.
I really like monochrome wallie and this red is deep and nice.
